Kudos:

Upstairs talking to the historian and bringing him certain items from quests to update/fill the timeline earns kudos.

Ground Floor cleaning items to fill the cases AND learning about digsite pendant earns kudos

Basement answering the quizzzes earns kudos.

Additionally completing the Shatter Heart Statue for the first time gives 10 kudos

This explains it all:

Build up the statute and you will get Kudos. Train non combat skills to get stones for the statute.

i would love to build the statue but i seem to have no parts...stones,whatever they are called even though i have been training skills intensively for over a year now...i just don't get any!!!!...this whole Varrock Museum thing is confusing and stupid...i'm never going to understand it and must accept that the Varrock armour 3 is simply a measley 5 kudos away but may as well be 5,000 away...why have i never recieved stones ?? some of my skills are up to 90 now...not fair and really mean!!!

Not all activities give strange rocks, and you do perhaps have to talk to the people at the Museum about it.

Any idea who would be good to talk to???...I get the impression other people are getting rocks just training non-combat skills as a matter of course...could I have accidentally turned this system off some how???

You have to speak to the guys at the table by the statues base on the ground floor; IIRC you won't start getting them until you have spoken to this person.

I'm pretty sure you don't I recall getting one while woodcutting after just coming back and having no idea what the stones were.

I think you don't have to talk to them to start it but you can talk to them to stop getting them.

Also if you have to complete the whole statue before getting rocks from the skills you already have gotten two rocks from again.

more info here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=shattered_heart.htm

Just to be sure: You are P2P right?

I think they altered it when they added the option to turn off getting rocks; so it would depend when you came back.

But I'm not entirely sure, either way if he's not getting rocks he needs to talk to them.

@Essiw given he mentioned having kudos already and being 5 short to get varrock armour 3. And kudos getting is p2p, as is the varrock task set its safe to say he is P2P
