Facemask and not slayer helm?

D-hide and not armadyl/pernix?

A BOW and not a c-bow?

 

There's no sign of Summona on the route map either, and no mention of ring of slayer tele. Plus no dungeon marker on the well in polli that you can go down then climb through a side tunnel for smokey well with less needless running.

I don't think that means the map of the safespots outdated.

 

Just bc the guide doesn't list armadyl doesn't mean the dungeon has been redone by haves since the making of the guide. While sals is outdated it still contains alot of valuable information, especially for newer players.

Out-dated info is never valuable info, no matter how new a player is. If the info is dated its not good info to learn as it teaches you how to do things in noobier, slower ways.

 

And the reason its outdatedness proves an issue is because thoose two spots were the two range safe spots and if memory serves both of them are gone now. Hence the ops issue in finding them.

You should melee them. Range should only be trained with a cannon tbh.

I think about outdated sites like the wiki. Trust for the basics but there will be more as you advance. I admit I was wrong in this situation but a lot of work went into sals and I think that should be respected.

Why respect a site where all the info is outdated?

Rspect tip.it, runeHQ and Zybez that put thousands of man hours into writing guides to all new content AND keeping old guides up to date.

Putting a lot of work into making a good guide and ending up with a bad guide - you respect the intention but not the result. That guide is extremely awful. Replace a glory with a strength amulet while ranging? They didn't even consider the stats.

 

As for safespots, the lava trick probably works. And dusties don't deal a lot of damage, you can probably get away with tanking them.

Substituting dhide for Karil's witht he intent of increasing ranged offence = lol

When dust devils first came out, there weren't many options for camping/full tasking down there. Now there's a million easier and better ways to heal, lots of higher tier gear/potions/food/prayers and dusties in a safe non smoke dungeon location. 90-100 combat on monsters isn't what it used to be.

I was only providing the picture of the safespots & where I got the info, not the whole guide, so the outdatedness of the guide is irrelevant. I was just providing the safespots in which I did add that I was unsure if they still worked.

 

As the original poster isnt new, just not upto date, I didn't see the harm in linking the old safespots & letting him discover if they were still workable.
