Ideas for Double Exp Weekend

Herblore/Construction/Crafting/Smithing

These are the most popular one.

The biggest impact will probably be herblore (extremes + overloads make life a LOT easier)

Getting construction up to 70 would be a great idea (guilded altars whoot)

If you manage to get some more playing time in, I would suggest to make money and spend it on BXP material.

2 mil isn't a lot but you can easily make money a lot of different ways.

-Farm herbs

-MTK

-Dailies

These don't take more then a few minutes a day and you can easily make 1-2 mil (depending on what you're farming, etc)

(I'd get on to do herb runes as much as possible - they only take like 5-6 minutes and yield amazing rewards for their effort.

The only problem is that there is NO WAY im going to be able to muster up enough money for 88 herb anytime soon, I remember spending like 5mil of 2k pots

Well you don't have enough money to really get any advantage out of buyable skills. Your skills are over-all pretty low. If you want to get a quick boost to a 99, then woodcutting Ivy for 10 hours should get you a nice chunk of exp and shorten the road to 99. It's really the only thing i can see as worthwhile for you.

I myself will do herblore (for 89)

Followed by a skill which I simply can't play a lot otherwise:

firemaking / hunter (I have to be carefull with these skills so I don't RSI problems)

Remember that even if a skill is fast, you still safe "half" the time.

So I would just recommend doing the skill you dislike most - yet wishes to level sometime.

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Obligatory to point out:

No such thing as double xp weekend.

It always has been and always will be Bonus xp weekend.

I'd say if you lack funds jsut go for something like woodcutting, fishing or mining as at least you will make money off it leaving you in a better position post-weekend.

Combat stuff might be an option but everywhere gets so crowded.

Seeing as you don't have money to do an expensive skill...

Do an important yet annoying to you skill. Doing it now means less total time will be spent on it. If you can afford a faster xp rate, for example smithing platebodies instead of smelting, i suggest you do it for the first few hours as not only will you cram way more bonus xp in, you'll actually save a lot of potential money as 500xp for 2kgp normally will be 1.3kxp for 2kgp... ect.

Feeling obliged to point out:

WC/Fishing/Mining are terrible money makers.

Fishing is only (kind of but not really) decent at extremely high levels and you're fishing rocktails

Mining is only (but again not really) decent when you're mining concentrated gold ores

WC is worth it never (ever)

When you're wasting your BXP weekend banking these meager skills, you're wasting a LOT of skilling time which is a bad idea.

If you start now, I'm sure you'll muster up enough to make a good amount by the time bxp starts.

Throw in a couple hours of monster hunting (really the best you can do at the moment) and you'll have enough enough money for extremes.

The problem isn't that you can't get the money, but rather are you willing to?

Are you willing to grind out hours to get to something you want?

I never said they were good money makers. But he said he doesn't have time to make money before the weekend and the fun he has got are virtually useless for any major buyable.

They are easy skills that don't require money to train and do make some money while doing them so would leave him financially better off post weekend.

Not much you can do skill wise without the funds to buy in supplies or facing epic over-crowding; I simply chose to offer advice based on the circumstances he suggested opposed to opting to just telling him to go make money to do better choices.

Even if you can't get 88/89 herblore with your monies, you can get yourself closer to that with the aid of the bxpw, with half the cost. You don't have to get everything straight away - most of us didn't, either.

99+ all 23rd March 2012 - 2496 total 13th June 2012.

9000+ dragon drops! Including draconic visage, d chains, d spears, d2h, d claws, d meds, d legs, d skirts... d bones, d hides :)?

I want jagex to put resource dungeons and dungeoneering skill doors to dungeoneering floors so I can dungeon and get dungeoneering xp while I dg so I don't have to dg to get dg exp, but I can dg while I dg :)?

This is a very good advice. You can always go some of the way now, and then finishing your goal off will be easier in the future.

Good luck with your training!

I personally will either do woodcutting, agility, or fishing. How boring you might say. Well... I'd have to agree haha.

If you're stockpiling, do indeed follow the advice of earlier posters. Get 70 construction, then do the rest in herblore.
