Are Turmoil Zerkers fun/worth it?

Hey tip.it this is my first time posting here :D But disregard that, it has nothing to do with my questions :P

I was thinking about making a Turmoil Zerker. I normally play on my Chaotic Pure, but it's getting rather boring seeing red splats on my character, and I can't do anything in multi/minigames like Castle Wars without getting insta killed.

I was bored, so during yesterday and today, I diced my bank twice and got enough cash to get Turmoil with a decent amount left over. The only issue is well, is it worth it?

Actually a better question would be "WILL I OWN EVERYONE IN DA WILDY?!" (and have fun doing it)

But you won't be seeing red splats on your character so much and you can do everything in multi/minigames like Castle Wars without getting insta killed.

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

Ignore people on this forum who talk about maxing your main. Most don't understand that a lot of people make pures to add a different element to the game

Yes they are fun, but maxed turmoil/chaotic/rune pures are more common then you think. So you won't pull ahead in PvP unless you pick on people without chaotics/non-pures. Other then that it's pure luck and skill. There is no ideal build that will guarantee you kills. Because if there was, everyone would bot it, and everyone would have it.

Plus if you don't want to get torn apart in clan wars/castle wars you better have some serious hybriding skill to keep them focused on healing instead of damaging you. If not that, then that you're best off making a 70 def tank. Anything beyond that i think it too close to a maxed main to justify spending time on training. But then again it's up to personal preference.

exactly ^

no build is original anymore. some can be more dominant than others, but overall pvp is much more skill/luck based than relient on how your stats are. not to say a certain build doesnt give advantage, but dont think that is all you need.

40 defense > 45 defense. All you get from 45 is an expensive (relative to your other armour) helmet that gives +3 strength. Not worth the combat level(s)

Definatley get 40 though. Vengeance and rune armour/defender and dhide body is invaluable.

They're a lot of fun. But you won't be making your money back from turmoil for a very long time unless you do risk fights, and actually win.

Don't forget void at 42 defence and third-age range/mage gear at 45.

Those extra 5 def levels give 1 combat level at most. If you want to use DG rewards and like Dungeoneering, it could be worth it. Ultimately up to the person making the account, but it's worth considering.

(Note: please don't respond to me with a post saying it isn't actually worth it. You already said that.)

EDIT: The OP also talks about "multi/minigames like Castle Wars." Considering Castle Wars and presumably the other multi/minigames he is talking about are safe mini-games, a rapier is only an advantage there.

It's true that the SSH is a huge advantage. But in a fight against two maxed accounts out of daem, one with 40 def and 99 str, vs 45 def and say around 95 str. The 40 defense account would have a slight advantage.

However, don't forget all the advantages that being 45 defense gives you. You don't have to pick and choose between barrows gloves/turmoil/vengeance/hand cannon(The more useful ones are obvious, but regardless) you can have all of them at once on a zerker. It's just a nice feeling of closure ;)

Don't forget you can always get 40 def and 45 later if you want the extras.

shadow silk hood. completely worth the 5 extra def lvls.

For a pker? Hell no. Suffer for those chaotics if you want them (kinda pointless, scimORwhip/claws is a much better combo for +1 item worlds) and don't ruin your account for convenience.

and whats your dg lvl?

89. But that isn't relevant.

The whole point of making a pure is you SACRIFICE convenience and things like that to make your account as GOOD as possible for pking. Trust me, you will regret those few hours saved when it comes to actually pking. 1cb level on a pure is the difference between being a good pker and a failed one.

And you really don't use chaotics in the wilderness for efficient pking on a zerker. Hell, if you want to be as good as possible, stick to 60 attack and use dscim/dds/claws. You rely on special attacks for kills almost entirely anyway, and claws > ags on your low defense opponents.

Well, it's between 43 and 45 defence imo. Void is too good to pass up on and at 60 attack/95 prayer/rest 99s you won't gain a combat level from 43 defence anyway.

+3 strength bonus is about 1.5% higher max hit (with dragon scimitar) for 1 extra combat level, and almost 2% higher max with claws. SSH is not vital but it will allow you to risk dg items if you wanted to (vigour, cstaff).
