Question about Anti Aliasing

Does it put a lot more pressure on your graphics card or not much? Also is there any way I can check how much more pressure is being put on it?

Could my computer/graphics card get fried by turning on anti aliasing while I play?

My PC Specs:

Operating System: Windows Vista 64-bit.

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 3200.

RAM: 4 Gigs.

Processor: AMD Phenom 9150e Quad-Core Processor 1.8Ghz.

Your GPU will work a bit harder. Fried? Not unless you haven't cleaned it out in ages. Double check within the Catalyst settings that you can turn on/enable AA before you attempt to do so.

There may be Windows-specific monitoring tools for GPU usage, but I don't know any off the top of my head.

What game do you want to turn the AA on? If it's anything other than Rs, with such a small graphics card I wouldn't bother turning it on, but on Rs you should not have any problems.

MSI Afterburner can be used to measure load, temps, and even OC your card. Turn on AA and monitor what happens, if it's too much you'll see the load shoot up and a drop in FPS.

Why can't the Big Bang be done by the hand of God?

It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities.

AA actually makes your GPU work quite a lot harder depending on what it's used in. In most high end games, AA will work your card quite hard, in something like RuneScape, not so much, but it can make the difference between having visible FPS lag and not having it if your card is low end.
