November 2, 201114 yr I need to get 96 summoning and I also need 99 magic, soon. Is it still worthwhile to burst rock lobs? Or are there better alternatives to achieve the same goal? Is it more worthwhile to bundle my need for magic exp with summoning, or another skill like smithing?
November 2, 201114 yr Glacors are great charm droppers, I am trying them myself but I am still taking too much damage. If you are up for a bit of challenge, I would recommend them. From the small sample I have killed, their blue charm drop might make them comparable to some of the best charm droppers. I think lobsters might still be better, but you end up saving a ton of money by doing these.
November 2, 201114 yr Two ways of approaching this. 1) Yes. You are training mage and gearing for summoning, which 'trains' more than one skill at a time (efficiency and all that rubbish [here]). From all reports (personally, I went with option 2 so this is all secondhand) they are extremely good for both mage xp and crims. If you have the patience and want "quicker" charms, I'd go with this. 2) Slay instead. I realise that there are many tasks (Fire Giants springs to mind as it's mine) where you are going to get little to no decent charms (read: crimson/blue - assuming you, like many, won't use gold/green) but the charms do stack up, there are a fair few tasks at 90+ (I see that you're 90) that you can mage slay (metal dragons, abby demons, nechs, black demons etc) to gain xp in, whilst grabbing charms for summoning and mage. That said, if it's all about SPEED, definitely go with option 1. [bleep] OFF HOW ARE U SO [bleep]ING LUCKY U PIECE OF [bleep]ING SHIT [bleep] [bleep] [wagon] MUNCHER
November 2, 201114 yr Rock lobsters don't drop effigies. If you want more than just summoning and magic xp (for example, a particular elite diary) it'd be worth hunting glacors for effigies and charms. November 2, 201114 yr Do you do Bork everyday? It may not be a lot but its a quick way of gaining 10 crimsons and a few greens on top of anything else you do
November 4, 201114 yr Not to mention 5 blues (and 3 emeralds, 2 rubies and a diamond if you wear RoW). Should be part of your daily routine if you are not 99 summoning yet. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...

I think lobsters might still be better, but you end up saving a ton of money by doing these. I'd second glacors. They are slower charms than rock lobsters, but a much higher proportion of the charms are blue, meaning less time making pouches, but the two key reasons to do glacors are the profit, and the effigies. Glacors are one of the best effigy droppers in the game. Shards are currently worth about 170k each, and have a droprate of 1/10 (better than 1/10 with ring of wealth). Boots are quite rare, but if you camp glacors for long enough, they are a significant source of profit. I'm currently doing glacors for my charms.
