i received this this arvo. Plus I have two exact same title emails in my junk folder with title saying "Confirm address change".

 

I do worry about downloading keyloggers ect, an hope along the way I havn't got one.

 

Or is this a dodgey email with proberly a keylogger behind those links?

It's probably a phish email anyways.

Also, have you checked your Message Centre on RuneScape yet? It seems like this would be something they would message you there about.

yeah i jumped on our other pc an logged on and no messages. Had last logged in like 16 days ago from what I reconise as our ip address here. I changed password just in case and banked the items I was wearing just in case. ;/

 

I just don't play alot and was unsure if jagex changed how things where done an messages sent.

Yeahhhh I would just delete the email and not click any of the links. :P

 

If you're still worried about your account, you could still just go ahead and change your RuneScape password and/or bank pin, and reset your recovery questions. No harm in being extra cautious.

 

But yeah. Delete the email. :P

In that image the website that you would be going to is recov.me. ALWAYS check that. If it was real it would go to runescape.com, and checking the link you can see a things off about it.

It's fake. I just got the exact same email, from the exact same URL. It's just another pathetic phishing attempt.

Yeah rs links ALWAYS go to runescape.com

so runecape.recov.me is a scam.

 

The one to pay close attention to lately is some scams go to .com.cm or similar

If it's not .com or theres an extra .something after the com its a scam.

I got one earlier telling me i have more loyalty points. Today is the day i get more, it gave me the exact amount i had, and my RS username. So i was 99.99% sure it was legit. Still didn't click it, mainly because it told me what i already knew and i could just type 'ru' into the URL myself to be taken to the game when i wanted.

 

(Kinda erks me, as i'm sure i told them NOT to email me when i signed up)

I got one of these the other day. You can tell it's fake just from the e-mail. They start out with "Dear Player." Jagex e-mails have "Dear *specified nickname/username*."

 

Also, as said before, another giveaway is the .com.cm link. It almost got me :mellow:
