lordkrohn1626 Posted January 22, 2006 Share Posted January 22, 2006 torags minus worthless hammers, add whip, rune boots and tzhaar/ crystal or dragon shield = highest def in game and of course whip owns for training. Friend and I stood side by side, he had full dharoks with lo hp and pot, and I had the above, we both have 99a 99s. in ten minutes training on trolls, I killed 8 more trolls then he did. Axe hits high, but not often enough, whip is consistent. Tried veracs also, meh, compared to my set up, I dont get hit often and hit higher then veracs and more often. At 3 mil for torags minus worthless hammers..quite a bargain. Guthans is sweet of course, but at 13 mil more then torags, that buys a lot of food and pots, and since I train on trolls and get 100k exp from one load of lobs.....meh. RS name: lord krohn Combat 138slayer specific: 103 whips, 38 dark bows and 250+ dragon boots dropped to date.Dragon drops: 5 Half shields, 21 drag legs, 8 dragon skirts, and 9 drag meds dropped to date. bob7926 Posted January 23, 2006 Share Posted January 23, 2006 only full set i like is guthan. i tried verac in dueling and would always get beat, i dont understand what is so great about it. cant wear karil as i am only 20 range. ahrim is ok, but i very rarely spell mage..mostly alch. and finally full dh requires 70 str so i cant really give my opinion on it. but in pieces i use this set up: (combat) verac helm dh plate dh legs or (looks) ahrim hood v brass guth skirt those mixed with fury, obby set, whip, and climbing boots are..well, as good as money can buy, lol. Karils- Looks- Karils, even tho is bad looks really cool, u look like some guy in the army, that crossbow looks almost like a gun... Dharok- Both- Dhark looks awesome and hits awesome, nothing bad here Verac- both- Verac looks awesome and hits awesome also! Guthan is actually fairly bad, the set effect doesnt always work, and if you are counting on the set effect to train on high lv monsters, you can get quite badly owned if the purple smoke doesnt pop up.
