Is Barbarian Assault Worth It For Mining And Agility?

As I begin to focus on 99 mining and agility (currently 90 mining & 95 agility), I'm beginning to wonder if I should go ahead and do BA for the horn. Now as of now, I've never done BA before at all.

 

So is the whole process of learning how to play it and filling up my horn worth it rather than simply doing the skills without it?

 

As far as variation in what I'm doing, sure BA may be worth it, but I'm more interested in xp wise is it worth it?

 

Also is SC pickaxe worth it at all either?

SC pickax only lasts for like 20k exp, so it isn't worth it. As far as your last two skills, I'd honestly just Effigyscape them. However if you still want to actually train the skills, the horn isn't worth filling for mining, and the agility part is about the same.

You can fill a penance horn in roughly 4 hours, if you can empty it in 4 hours or less it's not worth playing BA. Adjust for team skill.

I don't think there's any significant difference either way, I personally use BA because I find it challenging and fun, and it breaks the monotony up, but I'm not going to pretend that it gives a lot more experience, because it doesn't.

I absolutely prefer BA. But it isn't really any faster, unless (like me) you discount the time playing BA somewhat. For me, 1hr of agility feels like forever, where as 1hr of BA is enjoyable and fun.

 

If you wanna BA for xp rates, a good team with lv5 roles is a must. As is doing only 6 waves instead of all 10. I would suggest giving BA a try, but don't give up on it super fast. It is annoying at first in a lot of ways, but good teams make all the difference.

2) Level 5 roles doesn't matter at all.

3) 5 waves is easier on the healer iirc.

Lvl5 defender helps quite a bit, and I've found I get on better teams because of role levels even when they don't make much difference. Also, you're right, I reset at wave 6 so only complete 5 waves.

It could also be because I don't see many people playing defender role who aren't 1) terrible 2) gluttons for punishment 3) genuinely enjoy playing defender roles.

 

Defenders make or break the game through the earlier waves.
