Earth
Huh. Wanna try drawing some of the tavernite characters, or the weapons? (Space Weapons.) That'd be great practise, given how we must have a webcomic to post here. Earth
Oh now this is some stupid crap. My mosue courser turned into a picture of Justin Beiber. It's now creeping me out by STARING at me. Earth
I will be forever haunted by the hundreds of Terrans dead from my ill thought-out attempt to multitask PvZ and Starcraft 2. So many dead in so little time, and most of the mine. Jehosaphat
So guess what class I had today? [hide=Physics!]Yeah, I didn't get a chance to draw any of what I wanted to. Partially because I was having trouble drawing an ion cannon being thrown to the side as everyone runs from a ficus, and partially because my subconscious took over the drawing activities after about 5 minutes. Thus, my sane half claims no part in this except the afro guy playing the saxophone. That was something I drew for a friend.[/hide]

Nexaduro
Keep going at it Stork, you're already getting better. You need to get a little better with proportions between characters in the same setting, perhaps measure some part of them and use it as a reference for other characters on the same plane? 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? Seraphi
My main advice right now would be to work on limbs. I know the long, wide bottomed trousers make it easier by hiding the curves and detail of the legs. Believe me, I used to do that (Still do, actually) all the time, but if you practise creases and details of clothing and limbs, it improves it a lot. The same applies to robes. A robe in a drawing shouldn't hide the body, creases should be drawn to define the shape of the person beneath it. Other than that, I would say the usual. Hands, feet, detail, etc. It's all in the detail. I know drawing shoes/feet is a pain, and I know hands are something which I personally struggle with a lot, but you need to keep practising that stuff. That said, you seem to have the posing pretty much down. The people don't seem to have their arms/legs stretched in unnatural ways so they fit into the drawing, which is good. Resistance
What is the general consensus of tech tree's (such as the ones featured in the civ games) in hegemony games around here? I have been thinking about systems for my possible future hegemony and have come to the conclusion that a tech tree would eliminate a lot of problems and save a lot of time. You will still be allowed to research individual technologys but a select number (around a dozen) will have to be researched by the tech tree. What do we think? The_Mather1
Good if you make it wide enough so that if we ask you what would be required for any tech then you could name an aproporiate combinations of base techs from the tree. Resistance
The actual technology tree will be used among normal research, the tech tree will guide you're progress through the game and make sure that you can't research things too early and essentially make keeping track of technology much easier on me. The technology will remain in synchronisation with politics (so medieval torture isn't relevent at a stage where machinery and computers are being introduced).Everything will need to be researched however if a person hasn't yet researched things on the tech tree that would be required to research a certain thing then they will need to research things on the tech tree beforehand. I will try to keep it as less-intrusive as possible, I know how stressful it is to be pushed by 'the invisible hand of god', it will be avalible on the front page but will merely act as a guide for some basic technologys. A few examples of what could be researched through tech-tree's: Machinery, Computers, Weaponry, Democracy, Fission and then things such as 'nuclear flame guns' and 'nuclear powerplants' have to be researched. What do you think of this? Would you want to play a hegemony game with this system in place?
