I think if you look at the older disney films you'll find that the characters aren't perfect (Donald duck was angry and Frollo was evil) but now Donald Duck isn't angry and its made for a younger audience, I think Disney is basically trying to keep extremly clean.The Jonas Brothers and there bloody purity rings is a great example of Disney stopping trying to entertain and trying to get money. Look at miley cyrus and hannah montana, one person; twice the merchandise. And I'm sick of disney straight to DVD films, look at the first couple of seconds of this ; quality just declines. The Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who didn't enjoy those. Gum was so easy to get I actually made a greater profit off of monsters and their ilk (soft drinks) than a couple packs of gum (even if I was getting an 100% profit from them). You can stare at the screen for hours when there's nothing else on, because your mind doesn't register any of it and just kinda goes into stasis. To be honest, I don't mind on boring days. Helps pass the time.
