Maybe you couldn't Earthsage, and I couldn't, but the kid and his mom worked on it together as a project. And many kids ingest much more sugar daily than the amount present in quite a few of those candies.

Im pretty sure they buy it behind the sandbox from the sixth grader with the trenchcoat.

Hehe for awhile I was that sixth grader. Except replace insanely sugary candy with gum and you've got the basic idea.

The lion king heavy metal addition. On a semi related note is it just me or is disney only really appealing to 12 year old girls nowadays?

Grim, I was saying that to someone today.

I think if you look at the older disney films you'll find that the characters aren't perfect (Donald duck was angry and Frollo was evil) but now Donald Duck isn't angry and its made for a younger audience, I think Disney is basically trying to keep extremly clean.

The Jonas Brothers and there bloody purity rings is a great example of Disney stopping trying to entertain and trying to get money.

Look at miley cyrus and hannah montana, one person; twice the merchandise.

And I'm sick of disney straight to DVD films, look at the first couple of seconds of this

; quality just declines. Notice the lower quality of the movie.

People doing business with the goal of making money?

Preposterous!

Its just the way they are going about it is annoying a lot of people, they are being greedy and selling out what disney really is.

Compare my last video to this one: My link

Quality difference or what!!!

Oh god, don't get me started on the gum monopoly... You have to have friekin' underground connections and half a fortune just to get a piece in a pack. And you can't get anything for a soul these days, I won the souls of at least five classmates in a game of Blackjack with a bet of 10 cents.

Pah, you're one to talk on the matter. You don't even chew gum, and if you did people would be tossing it at your feet and bowing.

What I'm saying is, Disney used to have a much wider target audience and managed to please even those outside of the intended audience. The Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who didn't enjoy those. Right now it feels like Disney is picking up the scraps things like Twilight leave in their wake and forcing glitter, glam, and poisonous lead paint onto 3-year-old girls.

Retech, you're assuming people are smart or have access to gum in the first place.

Not true at all. You are not in a position where you are able to correctly judge Disney. When you say Disney was "good" you were part of their target market. Now you aren't.

I used to think my mother's breast milk was [bleep]in' delicious. Not so much now.

No, basically they've reformulated breast milk; its disgusting now.

At 14 I can enjoy Alladin and Donald Duck and The King and I.

At 14 I can't enjoy all the new Disney crap; Phineas and Ferb, Jonas Brothers, and those stupid comedys with a laugh track.

Rocco, is godville worth playing?

Jesus it was different at my school. Gum was so easy to get I actually made a greater profit off of monsters and their ilk (soft drinks) than a couple packs of gum (even if I was getting an 100% profit from them). If I remember correctly however the hardest part about it was getting the bastards to pay me what they owed me.

You extended credit? Personally I would've made some sort of debit system.

After years of frivolous spending and easy borrowing, the children at [insert name of Grim's elementary school here] began to feel the effects of their debt. Their overlevereged accounts caused interest rates to rise, a situation exascerbated by the soft drink crash of 2008. The gum merchants began to feel the heat too, as their customers began to default on their loans. The merchants packed their bags and moved on, while the children lived in a state of gum poverty for years to come.

Retech I stopped taking credit after around a month (not talking about my loansharking buisness though [some kids still owe me some cash [which I have recorded in a log]])

In Norway a gumball from a machine costs 2kr, that's ~25-50c, a pack of regular gums cost ~1.5-2$.

Walt Disney the company is litterally abusing Walt Disney's creations and name in order to get cash, there's no denying that.

Fantasia. Response to that, Rocco?

And Nickleodeon appeals to most anyone who grew up with it because it's quite simply a brainblaster. You can stare at the screen for hours when there's nothing else on, because your mind doesn't register any of it and just kinda goes into stasis. To be honest, I don't mind on boring days. Helps pass the time. And then, there are some good shows like Avatar that you can actually really enjoy and get into.

Walt Disney created cartoons enjoyed by everyone. The Walt Disney company creates annoying series and musicals that less than 25% of the world's population can stand yet they still make money because of their name and how the old classics still are shown at christmas and such.
