Fletching question and xp/hr

So I want to get back into fletching because that's basically the first 99 I wanted for some reason...... so I ask all you fletching masters out there, what is a good xp/hr rate? and what did you fletch for that rate?

Also I would like something that would make me at least break even or gain a small profit, if it is slightly slower then so be it. I started to make diamond bolts which is pretty much breaking even, but at only gaining 7k xp per 1k bolts I make, is that slow, moderate, decent???

Depends on how many bolts you can finish per hour. From 75-99, I did the longer way that everyone does, Yew Longbows. Those are, on average (between stringing and cutting), about 114K xp/h. You could do those to 99 fairly fast and get it in about 96 hours or so (that is, gaining 11M XP). I'm posting a 1-99 Fletching guide soon, so if you're still lost, you can get back to me and it'll probably be up by then!

Good luck!

Broad arrows are all-round the best for a few reasons: high xp, no banking required (you can fletch anywhere), very low apm (can chat or watch videos), can fletch during Fight Pits to get hybrid tops as well as Pest Control for added combat xp and during Livid Farm as well to unlock some spells. They are about 10 gp/xp.

Broad bolts are much the same but a lot slower and cheaper (as in, not worth it slower).

Bows require a bank and require more clicking as well, but they are cheap.

10gp/xp =over 100m for you to get 99 fletch

Thus this method is probably not for you. I would advise looking into the other methods available such as making bows.

How would this method not be for him? Making 100m isn't *that* difficult, considering that MTK and dailies are pretty much level independant and anyone can make 1m/hr at greens/blues or such.

Besides that, raising 20-30mil to raise a skill isn't so bad, but 100mil can be quite tedious and fletching is tedious enough as it is.

Ah right, missed that. 100m still is the best option available, it's less tedious (hell, you can fletch while making money) and faster, but if you *had* to break even, diamond bolts are good, if they sell and buy at med prices.

You say making 100m isn't that difficult, I would love to learn some ways to make that kind of money at my levels... because I think I'm money making illiterate!!

And I was buying/selling diamond bolts very close to med prices.

^ So do I, so do I...

Just keep playing the game and levelling and money willl start coming in. When I got 99 fletching I cut and strung yew longbows. It took me a few days of no-lifing but I actually managed to profit quite a bit. I did it at the lumby basement chest, buying certain ingredients like butter, chocolate, etc whenever they were stocked up again. Obviously broad arrows are the fastest with around 500k xp/hr, but they cost a lot more. :(

Finish both the Throne of Miscellania and Royal Trouble and start having workers collect resources for cash.

I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come."
