jddogg Posted March 16, 2012 Share Posted March 16, 2012 So i am going to be doing some ranged training while doing slayer tasks and wanted to know what kind of setup would be good. A.e. What gear should i be wearing (requiring minimal quests)Should i be using darts, throwing knives, a bow, crossbow? Also what kind of ammunition should i be using? Umanyar Posted March 16, 2012 Share Posted March 16, 2012 A rune crossbow with broad bolts is god for general slaying, rune/dragon darts for kuradals dungeon if you have access. For a good gear setup, it really depends on how much money you are willing to spend. Armor is pretty much Arma>black dhide, unless you can afford the armor from Nex (the name of the ranged set is escaping me right now). Boots should be range>snakeskin, and gloves should be culinaromacer gloves 9, or black dhide vambraces if you dont have 9 or above. Ranger ring and amulet of ranging if you can afford them, then DFS/zammy book in the shield slot, though both are quite expensive if you dont already have them. This guide is also a good place to start. Its a little dated, but should work fine still for you. Just check the ranged section, the 4th tab i believe, and it will give you as basic overview of range slaying. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

rilo kiley Posted March 16, 2012 Share Posted March 16, 2012 i happen to read up on this quite a bit, and it all depends on what monster you get as a task, for the most part i use black dhide or a blessed set, arma book, snakeskins, range ammy or fury (depending on what it is) and darts for lower, rune c'bow and broad tipped bolts for higher, the thing is i can afford armadyl (iv had it like 10 times) but i only use it for bosses really, and if its something you need to pray on i use mitre and god cloak, but the best info i can give in general, otherwise you'd have to be more specific iOwn....
