Metal dragons??

Featured Replies

Hey i'm thinking of selling my hard earned whip to buy: A d long and dds, about 500 prayer pots, 100+ anti d fire pots, and the extra cash to get in to the dungeon. I was wondering if the profit would outweigh the expense?? I'll try killing iron drags first, if too hard, ill kill bronze.

Any advice is helpful.

with stats there isnt any point really, train up to at least 85 attack and strength before attempting to melee metal dragons. You could mage them however with firebolt or the like (family crest gaunts are useful) as that is ultimatly favoured and you need 96+ range to range them.

8) I'd say listen to frogmite, he seems to know what he's talking about. Mage is by far the easiest to do. Especially against the drags. I've done only maybe 2 or 3 trips but with mage it is very fast and you can get alot of kills in without the aid of prayer pots.

Help + Advice for future questions ;)

Anyway with only 85 combat and 44 prayer, your pot expenses with the time you spend on each dragon would be far more than your gains, based on normal drops. Even at level 100+ combat unless you get a dragon drop you're usually doing good to break even or come out a little ahead.

As for magic, that is a common and more reliable route. That would probably be a better option than melee for you.

[edit] just noticed the mage level -- scratch that

if you want to make some money, kill green dragons. there is allways market for drag bones and green hides.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either

a fool or a coward.

Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law

is both.

For a wounded man shall say to his assailant:

"If I live, I will kill you, If I Die, you are forgiven."

Such is the Rule of Honor.

you would be best off maging them, anything fire works best and dont forget your anti fire sheild lmao, like I did.

Slayer dart is very good against them in terms of cost and damage it does.

But does need 55 slayer to use

I completed a 100+ iron dragon assignment in 3 trips. While I did make a bit of a loss, it isn't the hardest thing in the world to do.

You definately want a decent prayer level, something above 50 would be best.

What's better, fire bolt or magic dart?

Well, fire bolt hits 15s with the special gaunts, while slayer dart hits 18. However, slayer dart is more expensive in runes (1 death/4 minds compared to 1 chaos/4 airs (or fires))
