What's best? Zs or Rune hasta (p++) & Ely?

But in all seriousness, Zamorak spear would be better than hasta/shield combo.

Well ive been corping for a few hours tonight and just decided to go for a trip with Ely and hasta... I get hit less obviously but I also hit less, and its harder to heal with ss using hasta, so I went back with Zs :)

Yeah I think the spirit shield + Hasta combination is only used under the assumption that you're swapping them with the Zamorakian spear. Unless you're corping with friends, pro teams are probably going to get mad at you for just using the hasta since it's weaker.

Ideally, use Gano, ely, Goliath gloves for first 1/3 of hp, once you've had about 10-15 goliath specs, use a bgs spec, then zs the rest of the kill. Because of the Goliath glve's stupidly amazing stat drains, you will almost never take damage, solos should be about 5-7 minutes each, remember a ring of wealth switch! If you are taking too much damage to outheal with soul split, get another few goliath specs in. Once the core has spawned and has been stunned, swap to the zs, as Goliaths can kill the core. (Which annoys me a lot :lol:)

Ambler pretty much said what i was going to. :)

 

Goliaths > Hasta, not for pure damage, but for overall damage as the defense lowering will make your z spear kill corp much faster (and thus heal a lot more with soulsplit, meaning you don't have to eat, meaning you can attack, meaning you heal more with soulsplit!!!)

 

 

I think 5-7 minutes is a stretch, though, expect closer to 10.

Thanks for the tips Ambler, I didn't know much of the Goliath Gloves until I just read the whole RS wiki article :P

I'm at 466 boss kills and still need to beat the 3 monkeys as well as Nomad. Eep! D:

Ambler pretty much got it but if you don't need to do 10-15 specs, that would take ages. I solo corp quite a bit and my normal plan is goliath gloves for the first dose of ovl or until 5-7 specs, depending on whether or not bgs hit decently or not. Once my first dose of ovl is out I switch to my zs and the final hp goes by very quickly. I use an eek when goliathing though since you have an ely use that instead.

Corping is very easy now with goliath gloves, with speccing corp like 20+ times, it becomes so weak it doesnt even damage you without prayer. Using zs and ss flicking with vampyrism aura is also a good way to go.
