Are Glacor's really so profitable?

Featured Replies

I have been doing them more effectively the past two days staying for 40 minutes per trip. I have spend almost 2M in runes and pots, and the best drops I have gotten so far are rune legs and like 6 shards..... I thought these were supposed to be u to 5M an hour, but I have spent like 5 hours there and only lost money so far.... I am sure people will say small sample, but I dont want this to be one of those if you get a rare drop you can get lucky and make 5M an hour, I want more steady income and not always hoping for a big drop, plus when I go there I am usually alone, so if no one else if there, I would assume it isnt too profitable as it would have more people there

If you're looking for a consistent source of income, don't kill glacors. Do the fight kiln instead. Better gp/hr than glacors and, assuming you won't die, you're guaranteed to profit each time you complete the kiln. Big time.

I never tried the kiln, how does it work and how much do you make?

Smokey9112Films has a great video guide on how to do the kiln. Search for his name on YT. It's around 9m gp/hr for me.

Don't you need to finish the Klin at least 1 time before you can receive the Onyx reward? or can you chose from the Rhino cape and the onyx from the start?

You can pick the onyx right away and not the cape, AFAIK.

"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come."

"An imperfect man can do great deeds, and a great man imperfect ones.

^But it's better to get the cape first. However I doubt you can do the kiln well without chaotics and without pray switching.

If you're not profiting at glacors, there are a few options: you're killing them too slowly, you're not very lucky, you've overestimated the profit. Glacors are not 5m/hr profit, they are 4-5m/hr loot, so ignoring costs. And you'll only get there at 50+ kills per hour and with boot drops.

I doubt I am killing them too slowly, I have the hang of it now, and I am now using overloads and getting 2-4 dose overloads in each trip, I may not be getting 50 kiills but I would bet that in those 40 minutes I am getting 25 or so, I know I would get more with arcane necklace and chaotic staf, but I dont have it

thegame1431.png

Taking Quyneaxs numbers of 4-5m loot an hour at 50 kills, (I used 4.5m). And you estimated kill rate (37.5 an hour) your expected loot/h (counting boots) is 3,375,000 gp. Less whatever your expenses are per hour to get your gp/h from glacors.

If you're looking for something long-term which is a bit of fun pvm, look into kiln. Its great because of the guaranteed returns. Castle Wars (YT Channel: Omustardo) has dozens of kilns on recorded livestream footage, that along with Smokey's guides should be plenty of preparation to start there.

If you have a little cash already and just want the maximum gp/hr take a look at the ge graph for steads, rather than trying to get some yourself. If you have enough to buy 1 pair of steads you can easily make the same amount you would have made in an hour or two of glacors in a minute. With larger cash stacks the gp/hr is hundreds of times that of actually killing glacors.

what are steads and how can I make money off of them, I have over 200M in GP cash in bank, plus I have 50M in pending buys on top of that in GE for arcane shield and bandos chestplate
