Blisterwood polearm vs Ivandis flail

Featured Replies

Which one is better? They both scale with the amount of vyrecorpses burned right? So...

Blisterwood

Stab 40

Slash 55

Crush -8

Magic -4

Range 0

Prayer 0

Strength 60.0

Flail

Stab 0

Slash 16

Crush 11

Magic 6

Range 0

Prayer 5

Strength 26.0

Blisterwood starts with better stats, and they both improve through burned corpses, I would assume the same per corpse, so blisterwood stays better.

Blisterwood is definitely better. I think with 500 vyres burned, it has a max hit around 900 or so, and the flail around..600? Not sure on the exact numbers, but blisterwood is definitely far better.

Logic isn't exactly one of Jagex's strong points.

Thx for the quick replies everyone, as usual. ^^

Also getting your Ivandis flail back is comparable to trying to teach an elephant how to fly if you're doing it for the first time in a while. Seriously there's like 10 steps all with like nuances. For blisterwood though you just teleport to Darkmeyer, cut some logs and buy some sickles from the GE and you're good.

The damage distribution for those weapons isn't uniform so it's a massive pain to actually test max hits, but iirc I hit over 980 at least once with a maxed polearm.

From what I've heard/seen polearms do get up to the 900-1000 region with max skill and maxed stats etc.

I mean I have had 870ish out of mine and my stats are not maxed, nor do I have the best armor (for str bonus etc), nor did I use any pots or prayers (which I don't have the best ones anyway)

It is not the same per corpse. More burns improves the strength, attack, and defence stats of the Ivandis Flail when fighting vampyres; it improves the minimum hit of the blisterwood stuff (and may or may not give other bonuses as well, I'm not sure). So Blisterwood gets a better bonus for burning more corpses. Additionally, the polearm is scimitar speed while the flail is longsword speed. Basically, polearm is better in every way.

I've hit around 980 once with a maxed polearm, void, and piety (not even turmoil!). It deals an incredible amount of damage, hence why it is so good for training.
