TNPW give a short review of the last movie they watched, TV show they watched, book they read and game they played.

Cloud Atlas: This is basically a movie that has everything I love in any media, in the best possible way. The soundtrack is divine and the acting is phenomenal.

 

The Legend of Korra, book 2: The main story for this book is starting to show, and honestly it's hitting on the kinds of topics you'd expect to see in a cable drama in a mature way. And of course everything else about it is good. It deserves the praise it's getting.

 

Mistborn: It's basically fantasy that has all of the requisite fantasy tropes, but even then nothing is as it seems. In terms of setting, mechanics, and characters it's definitely innovative, but the best part is that it's still accessible and entertaining. The line "There's always another secret" is repeated often, with good reason.
