Arceus
- Everyone started out as a noob, or as an 11 year old playing runescape. Elitism in for example not dungeoneering with lower levels in order to max out xp/hr prevents these people from ever getting good, and supports the pathetic practice that is selling floors, as these newbs (not noob) cannot learn how to train the skill themselves effectively.- Tell people begging how they are negatively effecting the game, and that they will have more fun and get cash faster by playing runescape how it is intended to be played.- For gods sake stop with the selling toy horse 1k thing.- Rich players were once like you and worked for their cash, you can do it to.- You do not deserve all 99s instantly, working hard for them is a reward it itself, which you would ruin by getting prayer through cash you begged for, for example.- Keep your private on! Use your ignore list but talk to people on rs! Thank you, for telling me HOW I SHOULD PLAY. I seem to remember these forums going into zerker mode because another group of people did that. No? Oh, my mistake. Fortunately though, I'm neither naive or stupid enough, to by into the "hurr cash4horsey" nor dicing/[insert] because with more than 15 seconds spent in the real world, you learn the house always wins (and don't get me started on stakers). But at the end of the day, others dice/whatever, they'll keep falling into the trap of the *hurr doubling cash* because experience is the best teacher.I think a fair deal would be that players won't tell others how to play, and in return they won't complain and shout "no-lifer" when others have higher stats or more money. Beggars and scammers are really, and I do mean REALLY the least of RS's problems...I suppose, but there are connections. Begging is indicative of laziness, and because of laziness those beggars may be more likely to just spend $5 on gold to try it out, rather than attempt earning it. This further fuels the black market... "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." Can games be art? --- My blog here if you want to check out my Times articles and other writings! I always appreciate comments/feedback.
enfield
to me, the community is responsible for the downturn of rs in the sense that if we didn't buy spins, they would have gone away, or that option never have been implemented in the first place. Jagex offered us unhealthy cake, and people ate it. jagex is a business and we are the customers. our behavior determines their actions. unless they are regulated and incentivized to not sell unhealthy food by some even larger power which operates for The Greater Good jagex will cater to their customer's most warped, self-harming desires, if they are sufficiently prevalent. That is how unfettered capitalism works. (i'm really sorry i didn't read this thread first. I will try to!).
Bxpprod
I think a fair deal would be that players won't tell others how to play, and in return they won't complain and shout "no-lifer" when others have higher stats or more money. But this isn't directed at people saying those things. This is a standardised rant against the whole community. Either way,"He started it""No he did" Ad infinitum.Best to just be above it and END IT. Assume Nothing
The problem isn't the community - the problem is those affected by the community.
999134
from rsof postello there. Please be aware that ranting about players, groups of players (this includes beggars) or moderators isn't permitted on the forums. As such, your thread has been locked. If you feel strongly about this, maybe you can create a thread in other- discussions and suggestions section and post suggestions to limit these activities in the game. :wall: where do they find these people. muggiwhplar
If making money and leveling up was actually fun in RuneScape, begging and scamming wouldn't be so common
Dire_Wolf
A low level player shouted "Selling Toy horse 1K" and then "Saving for rune armour". I wanted to roleplay and said "Give me one of them horses it's my son's birthday".The player gave me a toy horse for 1K. I then came back for fun and said "My son didn't like the horse, give me refund pleaase". Player said "Oh sorry". And then he gave me back my 1K.After loss of Elysian sigil because of rollback i told a toy horse seller my story. And he gave me a toy horse for free to cheer me up. I don't see any problem with Toy horse sellers. And it's not begging. They are trying to sell a Toy horse for 1K. It's their way of trying to earn cash.
