July 8, 201214 yr I'm curious as to whether it would be more applicable to say, Off-Topic than RuneScape General Discussion. It's an uncommon problem, but sometimes compound words like wrist-watch without the hyphen gets unnecessarily censored. (wris[bleep]ch) I'd personally consider the 'f-word' a non-offensive term. It's not uncommon to say that something's '[bleep]ed-up', which is a perfectly acceptable context (then again, you could argue it's not necessary)
July 8, 201214 yr I dunno if the censor can be applied on a per-board basis. And I can't remember properly (I'm sure an admin will correct me!) but I think it's possible to make the censor hit exclusively that word rather than words that contain those letters.
July 8, 201214 yr Censor can't be applied on a per-forum basis unless this new upgrade has added that functionality. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
July 8, 201214 yr Also while the f-word in itself may not be that bad and no ones going to freak out if he sees it once, I find that it's often quite overused and can be annoying. And imho, [bleep] works just as well, everyone knows what you want to express ;)

July 9, 201214 yr Is it possible to mirror Jagex on this one, AKA an optional swear word filter? That's actually not possible at all because posts get filtered before they're actually displayed. So there's no way to have one group that can see it and one that can't. Otherwise, we probably would do that. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
