Quyneax
Well I wouldn't hunt them, but if you're not into cannoning they can be nice in xp and drops. They are also one of the better tasks to range, as sagaie get a good damage boost versus them, and they hit well with melee but not so well with magic. But rapiering is still faster, and soul split should cover your healing for the most part. ForsakenMage
Mutated jadinkos, even the baby ones, have a fairly decent drop table, and the herbs are noted, which makes it easier for you to handle (there's still a deposit box at surface level if you do need to bank). If you need food, turning in the points for fruit helps, although I've noticed that the jadinkos themselves will drop a few occasionally. Having soul split definitely helps. Bring Excalibur and unicorn if you're worried about combination hits, and you should be okay. :) Like Enaid said, rapier works well and quickly against them, or use sagaies to range them. :) It is considered a tedious task for some, but with the money gained, I personally think it's worth it, slow as it can be. :P I do recommend playing in low detail to get the seeds they drop since it tends to blend in with the ground in high detail. >.< Adventurer's Log || YouTube || Facebook || Tip.it Times Work || Wanna Join the Editorial Panel?Maxed Out 01 October 2012 PDT

Hedgehog
They're pretty bad slayer xp and aren't good charms. I'd recommend skipping them.
Cheefoo
If you want to be "efficient", just skip 'em. They aren't a terrible task, but there are better ones out there. I used to skip them all the time due to the shitty framerate I got in there; now that the fps problem is fixed and whip vines are apparently rising in price, I might reconsider. HIJACK: Which would be better to kill on task, males or guards? XP rate and drop values considered. bojangles
while on task they actually give like a 10 percent bonus slayer xp iirc
cowmaster187
i ended up doing the task and it went slowly but ended well made couple hundred k so it was worth it imo and got a slayer lvl out of it too boot no whip vine though. ~~~legoman187~~~ Clicky siggy for blogThanks Pendonub for fancy new sigThieving guide[WIP]Loyal player since May 2005 and member since November 2005 and Tifer for many years~~~legoman187~~~
AHappySeeker
They're not worth doing at all if you actually care about efficiency.
Platinum_Myr
If you care about max efficiency, (as in you cannon when possible + piety/turmoil + extreme/ovl every task) they are not worth doing. Skip them. However if you don't use cannon anywhere, they don't compare as bad. I suggest doing the guards over babies due to chance at whipvine. Make sure to keep room for noted drops. You won't need any food if you use soul split flicking. They drop plenty of food. I'd suggest a bunyip just for ease of regaining health, since it makes you ss less. Unicorn isn't really necessary. I know you've already done the task, but those are my thoughts on jadinko tasks. (I skip them, and aim for cannon tasks) ... 10% bonus xp? What is this? :wall: You get zero slayer xp when not on task. They give 100% bonus slayer xp just like any other slayer task, slayer only monster or not.
