Slayer_Jesse
Hey there. im trying to get my 1st cape from the kiln. (ive been away and havent had time to do it.) My gear:(Aura is sharpshooter, have greater reverence but had to reclaim it, so its charging as you can see.) Couple questions:Is it worth upgrading to diamond bolts? Can i get away with not using Storm of arma, or using it without the staff? if i dont bring it, should i bring blood barrage instead?is karils better than royal dhide?(forgot to put rune pick in this pic) Can someone lend me a dragon pick?I'm open to other gear suggestions, but as you can see, i dont have much cash atm and would prefer to not have to go make money right now. but if you feel its really nessissary i can go make money.I dont have any super prayers, worth making over sup rest flasks? Are there any "Must see" video guides i should watch first? Note: i have'nt unlocked much of anything in dominion tower. [hide=Siggy credits]The Awesome, Epic, Amazing, S3xah A-10 Sig By Unolexi! Vezon Dash
I just did the kiln 30 minutes ago for the first time with about the same items as you. I don't see any reason to use claws.... Outside of that, I think you are fine. Also, pps is fine if you won't want to use ABS. I have also heard that Karil's Xbow is about equal to RXB with rune bolts... It is really up to you though. You should be fine. Oh, if you have soul split, you really won't need blood burst/barrage. As far as the super prayer flasks.... If you bring 4 prayer renewal flasks, you will hardly EVER need to used restores to bump up your prayer.
Slayer_Jesse
ok, thanks. i do have soul split, and i can boost to making a few prayer renewals. about how many rune bolts would i need? Deletion
Bring as many prayer renewals as you do overloads (for your first time I would suggest 4 of each). This means you will hardly need any super restores (like 2 flasks) apart from to restore brew stat damage. I brought 6 Super restores on my second cape and it worked fine. You also won't need claws as your specs will be used up with enhanced excaliber healing ovl damage. One of the best things about Karils xbow is that you don't have to pick up bolts. Is there any reason you are bringing both vine whip and cls?
Vezon Dash
I used broads... You shouldn't *use* more than 1k of them. So you will want to bring like 1.2k or something.

Guado
On Seeker's pro Kiln guide, it was stated that Karil's was comparable to Zaryte, both of which are abysmally better than a rcb/ccb

How could a Zaryte bow be better than a chaotic crossbow? Doesn't it have the same exact stats of a ccb+rune bolts, except it's two handed? Hedgehog
Whip would probably be better than a cls.

It is cheaper and it has a longer range which can save your ass big time on several of the lures.
AHappySeeker
No, its only advantage is its negligible ammo cost. Karil's is still 15% higher in DPS and not that much more expensive.

I understand the benefit of increase attack range, but if you can afford a Zaryte bow in the first place, I doubt you'd be very worried about costs. AHappySeeker
The attack range means nothing. You need to be 1 tile away from ranging targets to deploy dreadnips anyway.
