I came out of the store and turned to walk down the street when, from behind me, I hear a guy shout "ginger midget" (I'm 5'0", just to add context). I turned round, and it was a group of four guys, total strangers in their late 20s/early 30s, clearly dressed up smart casual to impress with bottles of alcohol in their bag. Considering that term has been said to me around 200 billion times in the 23 years I've been living, I wasn't really offended or even shocked, and so I just looked at them with a stern and confused face as if to say, "...really??" before carrying on walking down the street. I think that's why it was a group of guys looking to impress with branded clothing, rather than a group of guys and their girlfriends. Incidentally, my female friends (probably around two thirds of my friends are female) all comment that my hair is the most attractive part of my body.
