What with this weekend being double, I might end up with enough tokens. I already have scroll of cleansing/life and arcane stream, so I think I'm done w/ miscellaneous purchases for now. Spirit cape doesn't seem worth it, either because I don't use my uni or I imagine I'd use a yak more than an iron/steel titan.

 

I'd also prefer if you said why it should be my first. Is it significantly better than my existing gear? Are there more monsters weak to that style? To answer an incoming question, I like pvm and slay/boss frequently (bossing generally in 3 man teams). I'be been holding off on solo attempts for now, but I'd like to prepare for that.

I like dungeoneering, I just don't do it often enough, so it could be a few months before I get another one.

 

This is all my current gear:

Melee: Korasi, abyssal whip, enhanced excalibur, bandos godsword, sara sword, zammy spear, blessed spirit shield

Magic: staff of light, polypore, ward of subjugation

Ranged: black salamander, black d'hide shield (will probably end up getting the royal crossbow)

Maul was best imo before EOC Idk about now.

Pre-EoC rapier would've been best but atm maul seems to be the better choice for melee. 2h abilities are a bit stronger than dual wield. Maul covers all melee styles. Cstaff only increases accuracy, and for ranged you can use a royal crossbow.

About the CMaul debate - wouldn't something like a Verac flail be a pretty good alternative? It's only about 200 base damage less, and a 100 accuracy. The question is: is it worth spending all those tokens on well, any chaotic?

 

CCB's suck compared to other weapons, and the CStaff is only 50 accuracy / 5 Magic more than Staff of Light.

 

Hmm, actualy I guess the Rapier is a good option? Best one handed stab, alternative is Korasi, isn't it? And in that case, the Rapier is much better.

Weapons got equalized a lot, so all weapons at the same tier have pretty much the same dps (cls and rapier are equal for example, except for attack style). So I think the anchor would be tiered with a lot of other weapons.

 

@Archangel: I suppose the flail makes a decent alternative, but 200 base damage is quite a lot, about 10% higher damage output for the maul. Very worth it.

So basicly spending a 200K points on a CM is the best thing to do. Or should i get a CLS and a CLS-offhand or is that just a waste of points.

Don't get any Chaotic weapon in EoC, save your tokens or get EXP

 

but might gets better stats when jagex release leveling-up-your-weapons/armours

Alright, i made a sort of same conclusion.

 

I spend some on a bonecrusher and arcane necklace to update my gear a bit, ill see what happens.
