Have fun on nadir... let me know what its like to play the game when it requires sound and you CAN'T hear the blips. Relying on the visuals is MUCH harder.

Nadir was one of the first pieces of content touted by jagex for relying on sound to completely pass it. Yet when it was released the momories puzzle were supposed to have varying intensities of blipping sound as you got closer to the exact location of the memory. Yet the majority of the community who attempted it with max volume barely hear a thing from it.

Nadir is still pretty hard btw. The beeping sounds are still really inconsistent and the interface does a shit job of explaining it.

bit of an irl update this one;

Taking a year break from university because I have zero motivation to try at the moment. Managed to get full-time hours at work (48 hours/week rip) and parents are for some reason giving me the spare car for free. Thought they would be mad but oh well.

Going to look for a flat in the coming week but it shouldn't be that hard. There's like 20 flats in the area and I live in a pretty quiet area.

Getting ~500 nzd a week in pay maybe more because payrise soon, and rent is like 200 max ish hopefully. Leaves 300 for food and other shit. If anyone who is flatting knows anything about financial matters that would be cool, don't want to screw myself over. I don't have many expenditures since I spend all my time on my computer playing rs.

Other than that might get the rest of the 12 quests + 2 odd man side things done in the next 2 days.

If you don't like me, it doesn't mean you get to freely kick me from chats when all I have said is hi.

Good stuff, at the very least you can now focus on being motivated on RS :P (or work) instead of boring uni (I feel kind of the same way atm too).

Family would be a better option however if young you're going to be boned by the req to shut the [bleep] up by you know, 7pm

Family in a heartbeat, at least they'll be mature people for the most part, but Mish, seriously, trust me on this as someone who has their own flat. 

 

If you can afford it, get your own place. It'll put you in a much better situation in future if you have your own flat rather than being in a place where you have to share the tenancy with other people. Once you have your own place, it's yours, you can do whatever you want.

 

The only real expenditures you'd probably have would be the cost of internet, food, gas and electric, maybe a TV license?, and the costs around the car (such as gas, MOT and insurance), so you'd be in pretty much the same situation as me right now ;)

 

Please Mish, look into getting your own place, living with other people is one of the worst things you can possibly do. Your own place is sacred once you have it.

My own place would be upwards of 300+ dollars a week, which is far far out of my price range, it's just not possible to get my own place here.

If you want my opinion, for whatever reason, I would pick the family aswell :). 

I don't know it's just that the family has a 3 year old daughter and they might want me to be quiet at night, so I can't skype/vent/ts with other people, plus I have a reasonably loud keyboard too so the whole noise factor is a major issue.

 

Plus the other place im looking at (in an hours time in fact) is a huuuge room. And i just came back from the mall and I ran into this other arab girl im crushing on that I sort of know and i mentioned that I was flatting and she was super impressed and super keen to do the same thing so... you can see where this is going.
