February 25, 201313 yr Complete noob to EOC... Confusing and scary, I don't like change! etc.. Wanna know what my action bar should be and how i should use it effectively... Also what can I solo now for good cash? The world seems changed, graardor is certainly no longer the squishy baby I knew and loved. Also also... What gear is good now? I look at my chaotic maul and see it's X damage with X crit rate and this means absolutely nothing to me. Same with armours... I have most top tier pre-EOC untradables like void/tok cape but only 8m cash to splash.
February 25, 201313 yr for solo you can mage sara gwd soooooooooooo easily now, i go in either gano or virtus (when i already ave it, no need to buy it for sara) and with soul-split and regeneration i can stay for as long as my overloads allow =P iOwn.... February 25, 201313 yr Weapon wise, I guess the general consensus is that the Chaotic Maul is the best weapon as of now. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me. Finally on here to update that I have officially quit! February 25, 201313 yr Your basic 3-second cooldown ability is Slice, which has a 10% bonus critical chance (good thing). However, you can use an ability every 1.8 seconds so you need a few more. First, Dismember and Sever are higher dps than Slice. They also work with all weapons. Sadly, their cooldowns are too long to fill out a full dps routine. When dual wielding, use Havoc, it's powerful and the cooldown isn't too long. You may also need a weaker ability to fill out your routine, like Punish, but ideally avoid that. When using 2h weapons, use Smash and Cleave. When fighting stun-immune enemies, use Backhand. To use your abilities: open with Slice, use another ability (Dismember), then Slice, then another (Sever), then Slice and so on to build adrenaline quickly without getting all your abilities on cooldown at once. Then for tresholds: Assault rocks, Slaughter is good if you can get your target to move, Whirlwind is good when fighting multiple targets. Ultimates: Massacre for dual wield is amazing, for 2h there is Meteor Strike. However if you can afford to take a lot more damage, Berserk is crazy high damage - combo with an adrenaline pot and work your way up to Assault for a possible 20k damage in 6 seconds. February 25, 201313 yr Author So I actually gave it a shot before reading any advice and boy was it simpler than it looked. "To use your abilities: open with Slice, use another ability (Dismember), then Slice, then another (Sever), then Slice and so on to build adrenaline quickly without getting all your abilities on cooldown at once." Yeah this became immediately obvious. I used all the multiple target attacks possible, stood still near graardor and all 3 minions and spammed the keyboard in this fashion. The multiple target damage soulsplit my hp to a safe level, and every single kill went the exact same way, no missing, no lucky streaks, just the same thing over and over.. Prayer swaps and food were unnessessary. It was really boring, actually. Now my main question is: What should I kill for money? On a side note - I'm really disappointed... The actions bars and abilities give the illusion of making hte game more complicated and strategy driven, but in fact it just makes it simpler, more predictable, and dull. Heres hoping the 07 servers kick off and GWD is re-introduced to those among other things. edit: doesn't dual weild suck?
February 25, 201313 yr Dual wield sucks because ability damage doesn't take into account your off-hand weapon (or so it seems). It's still good because there are t90 one-handed melee weapons and no 2h weapons, and because the Massacre ultimate is quite good. With Momentum, dual wield weapons are a bit better damage output. For money, Nex or KK. February 25, 201313 yr My apologies for hijacking, but is there a reason to use Havoc over Decimate? It would seem to me that Decimate is at least equal to Havoc in most cases, and better in cases where the enemy is wielding a shield. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. It would seem to me that Decimate is at least equal to Havoc in most cases, and better in cases where the enemy is wielding a shield. this only really applies in pvp... as far as I know, no monsters have a "shield"... But i could be wrong!
February 28, 201313 yr Berserk is crazy high damage - combo with an adrenaline pot and work your way up to Assault for a possible 20k damage in 6 seconds.Just a note that berserk runs out during assault, I think it gets 3/4 hits but I don't remember. Possibly only 2/4 Yeah this became immediately obvious. You were ambiguous about multi-target attacks so just note that quake is fairly useless compared to other thresholds - def lowering isn't that useful and around 6 targets = slaughter assuming no overkill on it. More useful in dg but still not very good.
