guide mode should always be enabled in hunts

I was always under the impression that dying was bad. it sure looks like a hefty penalty when I see the breakdown at the end of a floor.

 

If you're going for xp, just ask yourself will my not picking up a couple of pieces of food as I'm running through rooms (used to be lossless to pick food up between attack turns, but EoC) save 13% or w/e of the floor time. In almost any situation I can think of bar a C1 it is worth picking food up for xp.

 

But many people dgaf about dg xp and are in it for the floor times instead, in which case dieing can be faster sometimes. Although you really do have to put a lot of thought, effort and planning into managing a death in EoC dg.

On the topic of dungeoneering solo, I was wondering if anyone knew the odds on obtaining primal stuff by yourself. I tried to do a few floors of dung on the <100 world, but my binds are a litte out of date considering I haven't really played properly since 2011, and I ended up getting hassled by two separate party leaders. More than a little offputting, so I figured I'd at least get my binds up to scratch before continuing.

 

I've tried running through some C6 smalls by myself (about 20), but each boss is a really low level. I've yet to encounter a high level boss, which'd make getting a primal anything pretty tricky. Would switching to mediums help, or is quantity of floors better than the 'quality'?
