What's Your Favorite Monster To Kill?

Featured Replies

Just wondering, I quite enjoy taking out ice strykes. It's pretty satisfying to get all those high hits and just watch em sink into oblivion.

It really depends on what I'm killing them for (i.e. training, Slayer, money, etc.).

As a boss, QBD if solo, Nex if team.

Outside of bossing.. err.. probably metal dragons.

I dislike killing things without rewards, but rewards change over time, so...

Tds were great when titan + pps/abs + rapier in virtus + arc worked (pre-EoC). Getting that whole process to work right, just great.

Strykes are amongst the most horrible creatures imo, so annoying to pop them up. Honestly anything weak is super annoying to kill since EoC, because you can't properly cannon anymore.

KK is pretty nice because it's fairly complex, but that might just be because the two times I went I was tanking (and bad at it) so it was pretty challenging. Nex dps for example is not very interesting at all, tank might be, idk.

I like clearing rooms in dg with a well-timed frag shot > ricochet > dismember > sever > slice > cleave > whirlwind (or something). Sometimes you just get these beautiful combos :).

  • 1 year later...

Well, I made a whole video on YouTube explaining what my favorite monsters to fight are.

But my number one is steel dragons hands down.

I get a lot of money, and I mean a lot for every 100 kills. So killing them is worth it for sure.

How? By using high alchemy on the rune javelins, rune full helms and rune maces of course.

And sell these blood and soul runes.

for rune javelins you get less money than a nature rune is worth :(

my favourites have been glacs for a long time, though don't kill them all that often at the moment

So what? Nature runes are easy to get for free.

By killing monsters that drop them commonly like basilisks or crafting them myself.

Except it's not free. It costs time. And even if Nats were worth less than the alch, if you got them yourself the time spent is far more valuable than the alch price. And since they are worth less than nats you're better off selling the nats,

This is like, the most basic economics imaginable. Maybe you find it fun, and if so play that way. But don't defend it on any other grounds than "I enjoy it." because it's an indefensible stance.

Alright, fair enough. I'm not gonna defend it at all.
