emissary jobs!!!!!

yet another attempt to get past Jagex vague and confusing challenges....can someone PLEASE,PLEASE tell me what I'm doing wrong when I attempt to do the emissary of Saramodin combat job that involves freeing the codebreaker held prisoner in the Yanille gatehouse...I've killed a lot of guards but I'm not progressing...what am I missing?...tried using banner on guards...tried bloody EVERYTHING...so annoying

You need to contact the guy with the banner and he teleports you into an instance.

Hey Graceone,

here's a link to a guide about Taw'paak, The Armadyl Emissary and the jobs that entailled working for the Emissary. However all the jobs the emissary gives you are apparently all the same, so this may be able to help you out.

It's quite easy when you follow the instructions given in full.

 

Your emissary when asked about the task will tell you to go to the small garden patch just inside Yanille Gate and then contact them via the banner.

If you go to the patch of grass just inside said gate and use the banner you will be taken in to the instabnced area to kill guards for the set time to do the task.

 

What you've done is fixated on the story element (freeing the codebreaker) and ignored the ACTUAL instruction of what to do (Go to the grass patch and use the banner)

well that's all and good except those instructions do not appear UNLESS YOU'RE ACTUALLY STANDING ON THE PATCH OF GRASS!!!....don't be such a non helper...if you want to have a go at people do it with someone else...I'm not an idiot and neither would it seem are the other four players Ive helped through this glitch..I'm not fixated on anything

...as for you I can only suggest you stop brown nosing to Jagex and realise that these things do happen in a game this complex and you should stop assuming it's always the fault of the player.

I suggest you try to be a little more polite, GraceOne. You didn't post a clear question, so there isn't much to do but to repeat the instructions for the task - the instructions you apparently did not read. The tasks are perfectly easy - if you can't get them to work, that's likely your problem.

I did read the instructions...I'm not an idiot nor am I illiterate...I've helped several players past this glitch,none of whom were receiving the correct instructions until they stood on the area of the flower bed east of the gate...

Quyneax, Wasn't being disrespectful or calling you an illiterate or an idiot, I would suggest you simmer down a bit GraceOne, we're only trying to help you. And there's no need to bite any of our heads off. It's not our fault that you didn't read the instructions correctly, just take the time to read, and re-read the instruction as what i did as it can be somewhat confusing. But anyway, might be take it on board that being a little nicer to Tip It Members might be an idea, as we're only trying to help you.
