khandajatt
ok this one is gonna be a bit long. Now, since i finished all my skilling, im only left with combat stats (including prayer and dg) and farming. I got plenty of question because i am really clueless about eoc combat. So dont get mad if this turns out to be a long one. 1) I would like to know the ideal setup for slaying for all 3 combat styles, including armour and abilities. Also i would like to know which tasks to avoid.2) i would like to know the ideal setup for bossing, mainly gwd because i dont want to try nex or kk atm since im just stepping in this eoc combat. I want to know wat i should wear for all 3 styles and what my inventory should look like for each or just in general gwd bossing. Also the ability setup.3) I want to know what is usefull from pop for pvming keep in mind that the setup im looking for ideal as in average and if u can tell me the best setup as well. Also i want to know for pvmin the best dps/most dmg setup for all 3 styles. thanks for your help :)
Quyneax
http://forum.tip.it/topic/316757-the-slayer-model/ For all styles: slayer helmet, demon horn necklace when appropriate. Max crit otherwise. For magic: Virtus top, legs, boots, gloves - Sujugation also works. Virtus wand + book or chaotic staff. For ranged: Pernix or Armadyl, dual ascension crossbow or dual chaotic crossbows, royal crossbow also works. For melee: Torva or Bandos, dual drygores or dual cclaws. For bosses: Same as above, sometimes Ports armour is nice. For PoP: Armour sets, Vampirism, Elements, Cruelty. khandajatt
ok so slayer helm is the best across the 3 styles? and also demo necklace best for all 3?
Th e Doctor
ok this one is gonna be a bit long. Also i would like to know which tasks to avoid. Ideal setup would be Nex gear (Torva, Pernix, Virtus) with (arguably) a FHS. For capes you'll want a kiln cape, mage arena cape, and ava's alerter. For necklaces you'll want saradomins murmur and whisper and an arc stream. For a ring you'll do fine with a 6th age circuit from TWW but best in slot are the MA (i) rings. For weapons you'll want dual drygore for melee, dual ascension for range, and virt wand/book (this will be replaced by the wand/orb from the new boss coming soon). 2) i would like to know the ideal setup for bossing, mainly gwd because i dont want to try nex or kk atm since im just stepping in this eoc combat. I want to know wat i should wear for all 3 styles and what my inventory should look like for each or just in general gwd bossing. Also the ability setup. Exactly the same as Slayer except sub the FSH for a Nex helm. Abilitywise you're going to want to spam basics until you can hit with a threshold, and then always prioritize thresholds. You'll also want a bonecrusher and a demonhorn necklace for the extra prayer points. Inventory should be 1:1 overloads to prayer renewals. 1-2 prayer potions. 3-4 emergency food (especially if it's your first time) and a 1 click tele. 3) I want to know what is usefull from pop for pvming The armors are currently not worth using over nex gear except for at Kree and if tanking Nex or KK. Scrimshaws of cruelty, elements, and vampyrism are all good and of course rocktail soup is nice to be able to make yourself. keep in mind that the setup im looking for ideal as in average and if u can tell me the best setup as well. Also i want to know for pvmin the best dps/most dmg setup for all 3 styles. thanks for your help :) If you want to settle for average just sub nex gear for the other GWD sets (subjugation, bandos, and armadyl). Weapon downgrades would be chaotic claws, royal crossbow, and chaotic staff. Also I'm ok with the fact that Q ninja'd me. Lastly, with soul split and blood barrage you can pretty much momentum your way through bandos GWD for sure, haven't seen if Kree is doable and Sara is hard because she can enrage if you do it too much (use ice barrage instead?) Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
khandajatt
mhmm ok which drygores? and subju is the second best mage armour since virtus is best atm? also arma or royal dhide for range?and boots from glacors still best?
Quyneax
GWD and Nex sets have damage boosts, no other set does, so yes they are the best. Fsh is best for all styles as well. Demon horn necklace is good if you want to get the prayer restore - when you bury a bone, you get prayer points back, and your bonecruncher buries bones automatically - profit. It'll save you some banking, but critical boosting neck items (whisper, arcstream, murmur) will give you slightly higher kph. More OT to your question about which drygore they all have the same dps when using abilities. The mainhand MACE however has a massive +9 prayer bonus which I consider to be much more valueable than the fashionscape looks of the longsword or rapier. OH's all have the same dps no matter what so go with whichever is cheapest (I believe the off hand mace is atm). Galasrin
All drygores are designed to provide the same DPS, some people claim that there are differences but I've not heard any substantial evidence to prove that. The suggestion for the mace set is based on the fact that the Main Hand Mace provides a high prayer bonus, and the Off Hand Mace is currently the cheapest of the Off-hand variety. Though statistically it would be the same as the other options available.
khandajatt
mhmm i guess maces it is...also got cmaul where can i use that for bossing?
Galasrin
Currently I believe that dual wielding and two handers of the same tier are supposed to be equivalent in terms of DPS. Since cmaul is t80 and dygores are t90 I don't really see a need for cmaul. There may be specific circumstances where the two hander is preferable(maybe for abilities specific to a two hander), but in most cases drygore should be your choice for all of your melee pvm needs. Now, I'm not much of an authority on bossing, so if someone else can correct me please do.
starclimber
Drygore for everything you will melee. You'll find that you'll never care to use your cmaul again.

Refer to tieszen's post on the first page for the other slots. I'd get a royal crossbow or dual chaotic crossbows if you have the tokens. Royal is cheap and works perfectly fine for my uses so I hang on to that.
