The Boss

 

We will be tormented demons. Although not as individually difficult as some bosses, these are very strong monsters, especially when more than one are attacking at the same time. We highly recommend reading the official Tip.it guide and familiarizing yourself with the boss mechanics.

 

Equipment and Inventory

 

Equipment:

 

 

Because the demons switch protection prayers are being enough damage, it is very important to bring more than one combat style. In this setup, I use Akrisae's robes, an amulet of fury, and an emissary helm in order to maintain high accuracy with decent defense.

 

Your inventory will depend on your gear and levels. We recommend 2-3 overloads and 1 prayer renewal per overload. Additional prayer probably will not be necessary, but bringing extra prayer potions may be a good idea, especially if you use stat boosting prayers (and you should). We suggest that everyone bring a darklight, as having a single darklighter is risky, as the whole team will be useless if he/she either cannot hit the demon or dies. Fill the remainder of your inventory with good food (sharks/rocktails). Remember to bring runes and your sapphire lantern. It is not important to get the ratio of food to prayer correct on the first try due to the proximity of a bank.

 

Requirements

 

You must have completed While Guthix Sleeps to kill tormented demons.

You need a sapphire lantern to access the lair.

We highly recommend bringing a darklight.

They look like the Fremmy boots from the task set, which don't serve any purpose at Tormented Demons. Just bring Ragefires or something.

 

Hopefully I'll be able to make it to these and mass speeds on Saturday :)

Come to think of it, I really disagree with the equipment and inventory.

 

If I'm on my account without void and steel titan I bring:

Of course, a darklight should be brought also, but this was OMW to duo with JJ. The top potions are weapon poison ++.

I don't think anyone else going for this event can pull off a 7 item switch :P

Even still. A bigger switch and no food would have been my main point. A unicorn at most - otherwise vampyrism scrimshaw or aura and healing abilities is plenty. Plus, the no prayer potions? O_O?

 

And you put 5 items on your action bar so that you only really have to click 2 of them to switch. Pressing all 5 buttons at once immediately switches the full set in one tick.

I've heard TD masses are a lot of fun, gonna have to tag along to this one :razz:

Why not holy water when maging/ranging hybrid? You can use an ability for your first strike so it's not wasted. I'm guessing 'cause it's group (but I'd think the same applies there?
