so yeah, after that rambling, how would i go about tackling these chaps? i have at least 30m to spend if needs be, could make more if needs be

My suggestion would be if you have the charms, get 88 summoning for a Unicorn (best healing familiar otherwise) and to use hybrid armor with your two favor combat styles. With protection prayer these guys hardly hit and they lend pretty well to being both momentumed and killed with abilities. That means you can pretty much get away with using void here. Otherwise Akrisae's, or if you have it, warpriest gear. No matter what styles you use, you'll need a Darklight or holy water. If you feel like it, you can stock up on holy water to use as your range weapon and keep down fire shield, as it works well on them. If you can handle items switches then I suggest bringing only a top and bottom and possibly helm switches for any two combat style, filling out all your other slot with hybrid armor like a fury and skillcape. If you're crazy like Stev you can do a 7 item switch to maximize damage. In this topic you'll find sample set ups and inventory: http://forum.tip.it/topic/320208-tormented-demons-sunday-july-21st-4-pm-est-9pm-bst/

The hardest part of TDs is luring them, which should be the same as pre-eoc. So any guide you look on on youtube will work for learning to lure. Hope this helps you.

I have some time tonight, so I suppose GWD and TDs will be a nice way to kill the time. I'll screenshot my setup (healing really isn't needed) and probably video how to lure them. :). Stay posted.

Edit - A decent setup for a beginner. I'm not sure how lower tier magic weapons would work. =/.

Video to come. :P.

I assume that the Drygore longs and virtus are wielded as a set rather than separately? Have me a lil confused there

I have enough blues and crims for 99 summon, just not the funds, though I could probably afford to buy 99 couldn't do much else for a while after bar make money

What would be the better step down? Dual ahrims or arma staff?

Is that void? If so all I have is whatever the quests gave me :( best alternative in time? Of timewise is it worth getting void that much?

What are the cape, scrimshaw, gloves and boots?

Finally what is your average gp per hour assuming 10+ hours in total? With access to frosts and things of similar gp will it be worth it financially for me or better off till I naturally have better summon and start up gear/cash

Cheers :)

I have enough blues and crims for 99 summon, just not the funds, though I could probably afford to buy 99 couldn't do much else for a while after bar make money. Unless you feel comfortable getting 99 summoning then use your best healing familiar. Steel Titan helps increase kills/hr.

What would be the better step down? Dual ahrims or arma staff? Arma Staff since 77>70

Is that void? If so all I have is whatever the quests gave me :( best alternative in time? Of timewise is it worth getting void that much? Elite Void. Unless you plan do A LOT of Tormented Demons then I wouldn't bothering getting void. Use GWD set switch above Warpriest which would be above Akriase's.

What are the cape, scrimshaw, gloves and boots? He is wearing a spirit cape, void gloves, Torva boots with Virtus boots in inventory and Scrimshaw of Vampyrism. With the Scrimshaw/Aura healing won't be needed even from a familiar.

Finally what is your average gp per hour assuming 10+ hours in total? With access to frosts and things of similar gp will it be worth it financially for me or better off till I naturally have better summon and start up gear/cash? Stev gets crazy gp/hr because he get max dps and really only kills TDs. So his is a little higher than average. Unlike Frost Dragons/QBD and more like GWD your millage will vary as you can get very unlucky, but I am told D Limbs drop frequently. Last time I went I was averaging 7m/hr. But it's been a while since I went back for more than an hour at a time.

Cheers :)

See bold

Son of a... I had it all typed out, switched tabs to Cherry-Poo's blog, accidentally clicked the X on this tab instead of switching to it.

But, Pest Control is easy as hell now. With EoC, you run in with magic, hit for a few seconds, AFK. If you don't have the money for Nex sets, it's very much worth it until you do. You don't need elite, since I think the only difference is prayer bonus.

If you can get a vampyrism aura or scrimshaw, you can scrap the need for a healing familiar and swap it for a fighting one. Even the lower familiars can help.

Also, magic to ranged+cruelty wouldn't be bad for a beginner. Darklight hits damn near 90% of the time regardless of the gear you're wearing and the cruelty rips them apart. It's definitely my favorite setup, though takes alot more paying attention to match the DPS of melee and magic (timing abilities perfectly).

A tip: Make a good 10+ sapphire lanterns and keep your darklight on death. It won't be on your grave. :P.

PS. That lure video is coming. Was struggling last night - I reformatted and lost my Naga scripts and setups, so had to get used to a few others. :(.

Nothing spectacular. Was at the end of a trip. If you need more information on luring, tell me and I'll make a video with a tad more effort/detail (where I actually kill them). But, it's near 5AM and I needed sleep so I wasn't putting much effort into it. :P.

Can see the lures perfectly in this video (JJ and I duoing):

Or killing multiple a few steps north:
