vleademir
I'm currently on the third island though the name escapes me right now. I'm focused on the first one so I can get enough bamboo for the office upgrade. After the office upgrade is there a recommended order for upgrades? I don't have the workshop yet but I figure there isnt much point yet because I dont even have a full scroll, or the ability to make anything yet. I'm not sure how useful the totem things are for the future as well. I'm just wondering for where my progress is what should I have unlocked and be aiming to unlock in the future. Also, can you get any scroll from any adventurer or is it skill specific (ie. can i only get certain scrolls because I only have the missionary, biologist, and assassin unlocked)? Thanks,Vleademir.
chenw
Any scrolls can come from any adventurer, although only 1 will be offered regardless of the number of adventurers in port at the time. Never pass up the scrolls if you can help it, eventually the scrolls will take up a significant portion of your ship's time (for example in pincers a scroll voyage will take at least 13h, while earlier regions will take less time for roughly the same chance of success). This is what I did for my port progress: Up to and including the cherrywood region, I prioritised on rudder, then Ship deck parts because those benefit my voyages the most, then I did Crew, then I did hulls and finally figurehead. In jade region (bowl) however that changed. I, for reasons I cannot remember beyond thinking that it was not worth the jade upgrade) that I ignored the jade ship upgrades except for the rudder one the the hulls (the one that gives higher seafaring) as that Seafaring hull was the best available (Pincers didn't have a sf hull). By the time i was finished with all the other upgrades (crew, building etc), I was finished with Bowl. Also, do not underestimate the effect of merchants, their effect of increasing voyage rewards completely outweigh any decreases in voyage success chances. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. Urza285
Don't build the workshop until you have enough trade goods and the stats to actually make an item you want.Unless you value the option to have a quick access bank to do bank skills from like fletching, herblore and other bankstanding stuff. Honestly its not a bad investment of 2k bamboo and 500 slate off the get-go. Maxed [February 14, 2012] | Completionist [October 25, 2012] | Trimmed Completionist [in Progress]Visit my Blog!
