Heya!

 

Does anyone have any good way for finding a crystal impling? I've spent quite a lot of time in Elf city and only seen one(sadly i wasn't able to catch it).

Been in puro puro hunting other implings and in the time i caught 5 Dragon, 3 Kingly and countless others i haven't seen one Crystal.

 

And can anyone confirm if the tree-shaking scrimshaw can spawn crystal implings?

Puro Puro and Elf City seem to be the only ways.  Unfortunately (from what I can find) it doesn't seem that the tree-shaking scrimshaw can spawn them either.

Best method is to hop worlds. The Crystal impling only spawns in whatever sector the Voice of Seren is in effect.

 

It took me like 30 minutes of quickhopping between 5 worlds before I finally found one.

So, run around the affected sector, hop, run around, hop etc.?

i manged to get mine within 2 hops in the voice

 

there is a post some where on RSOF where they are cataloging spawn locations, it may be of use to you if some one can find it.

Afaik they usually spawn close to the herald cape guy of each sector. So just staying in that area and hopping should be good enough. Doesn't hurt to run around just a bit in case it has wandered.

Did it for an hour yesterday, haven't seen a single impling :\

Fairly rare, odds of finding one won't be too high, hop around a select list of 5-10 worlds till you find one, or whenever vos switches. (always in affected sector)

I have some information that others may get mad at me for spreading but what the hey it is for a more exciting hunt. 

 

Implings spawn at :10 and :40 each hour. now according to the wiki/jagex if it will spawn for the clan (that is in the voice for that world) is random, that is why you must hop because eventually it will spawn for one that you go to to (it is all the same clan in the voice just each world has its own chance at getting it) 

 

then some clans are easy to trap/ catch it. In order from easiest to hardest for various reasons:

 

Iowerth-not many places it for it to get stuck outside your range

treahearn- a few places it can get stuck but it can find its way back in

cadarn- hard to traverse especially if the impling plays hard to get

crwys- if it is on the other side of a fence gg.

 

i usually try about 30 worlds tbh, and they seem to disappear after about 20 minutes.

Thanks for the tips - I stupidly cut my tree down in 1st week !! & have been trying (on & off) for an impling since then in the hope of another seed drop.

In Elf Batch 2, crystal implings will spawn from tree-shaking scrimshaws. And there will be 2 VoS active at the same time, meaning there will be two imps flying around. I wouldn't sweat it too much right now.

also chance of getting them from motherlode maw
