shieeeet now I'm never gonna check this thread again

  • This 3 step glitch is killing me. I'm missing so many good Pokemon because I have no idea where I'm going now.

  • They're banning pretty much everyone who teleports far away from their home, and most GPS spoofers (i.e. the ones used by devs to test their apps) are pretty easy to detect. But there's no real way to

Found Gastly in toilet at work.

Annoyed my desk is slightly to far away from the statue out front of office that is a pokestop.

Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills ::  Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA Rewards

Dragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Started yesterday, officially not available here, but got it working.

Funny how many pokestops here are.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

Servers are shit but this is the best feeling I've had about a game since halo 2 or runescape for the first time.

It's not available here in Canada yet, but it's very interesting. Just so long as they don't designate my house a gym like they did to this guy then it's all good.

THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P.

So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...

I have a Windows Phone and thus cannot play it. There was an article in my local newspaper (Fayetteville Observer) about it, which was interesting.

Will it have any interaction with the the new 3DS Pokemon games, Sun and Moon? I only want to get all 'perfect Pokemon' in the series...

I'm level 16. I've been really hooked on it the past few days. I'll probably get burned out on it pretty soon, but yeah, it's dope.

It's not a very good Pokemon game. There's very little training happening. Just catch whatever Pokemon and evolve whichever ones have the best CP. Every Pokemon, from the low CP to the high CP feels cheap and disposable because you literally get rid of the low ones ASAP and the high ones you just leave at a gym.

Thankfully the popularity of GO shouldn't affect Sun and Moon.

To me Pokemon Go has 2.5 big flaws to it at the moment:

1) The supply of items - if you happen to not be in a area with anything considered worthy of being a pokestop you are boned for items unless you want to spend irl cash

1b) As a consequence of this healing sucks. Like the items are good and all but could we not have like the tried and true pokecenter built in to the game some how. Like maybe at a pokestop you can pick items or heals.

2) The need for the app to be open - I'd play sooooo much more if it just like ran in the background and buzzed me a notification to say AMG THERES A HORSEA NEAR YOU the need to constantly have the game open is just plain annoying unless you intend to go and sit in some park or something because you know a bunch of stuff spawns there.

Other than that it is a good basic mobile game to which they can (and are planning too) add more features.

Holy cow! Since its release PG has added over 9 billion to Nintendo's market value.

Not bad for a game that was released a week ago.

Supposedly. Think they mentioned during E3 that it would have some kind of connectivity.

I have only barely bothered to play it but I have a Paras and that's all I really wanted. Eight years of competitive play and I'm happiest about the tiny useless mushroom bug. This is quite a feeling.

The biggest problem I'm running into is that there aren't any pokestops by my apartment or workplace, so I can only refuel on pokeballs and potions on my way to/from work, which means I can't farm pidgeys 24/7 :/. I had to pass up on a level 600 parasect today cuz I was out of pokeballs.

I'm also super low on stardust and that sucks

yeah i'm finding that as you level up and the CP of pokemon increases, they take more and more pokeballs to catch since they're much more prone to escaping. thus i'm running out of pokeballs for the first time. there are definitely some updates this game needs for it to have any real longevity to it. nonetheless it's still fun to me and finding rare pokemon is still a rush

Another problem: It's virtually impossible to hold more than 1 gym at a time because they're so far apart. If I put a poke in the work gym right as I leave, it probably won't be there by the time I put one in my home gym, so I can only get the daily stardust from 1 gym

I've been getting absolute garbage from egss. I've hatched 2 10km eggs and 2 5km rggs and gotten a Dratini and Hitmonlee from the 10km then a Psyduck and Tentacool from the 5km.

Cycling helps.

So far, only level 6 with 19 different 'mons. Here the gyms are really tight, I can see like 3-5 on any moment on the map. Right next to my work is a pokestop and my frathouse is a gym, however, near my home it is quite vast emptiness with nothing but gyms in sight.

That's another thing. Hatching eggs is so important cuz it's the only thing in the game (that I know of) with a good stardust/xp ratio (something like 4:1?). So now I'm gonna make it a point to walk/run like 10km a day lol

Also gives you a good chunk of candy which lets you immediately power up the mons with no evolutions or evolve mons faster. That Dratini egg may have been my 4th Dratini (rare Pokemon my ass) but I got a Dragonair out of it.

lighviolet1lk4.jpg

I've just been trying to keep my venosaur competitive (it's 1070 right now, which means it can take on 1300ish jolteons and vaporeons), and those bulbasaur candies I'm raking in from 2km eggs are really helping, so yeah eggs help a ton.

I'd probably kill for a dratini though (but not really)

Today Pokemon Go was officially released in Canada. My kids absolutely lost their minds when they found out.

I still don't get how tracking works. When I see a splash of grass, that means there's a pokemon there, right?

Caught a pidgy, pidgeot and another damn rattata last night on a short walk, almost level 3 now.

Tracking is currently broken. It was awesome when it did work thougg
