deangut
ROW= Ring of Wealth - ROL = Ring of life ROW simply is a waste of space for Barrows. ROW doesn't effect Rewards from CHESTS (Correct me if I am wrong, only been at barrows 500 runs) Some people wear it out of Habbit. Some people wear Ring od Dueling (ROD) so they can tele to CW to bank. I have to say ROL is the way togo. My reason: I am at Barrows last night wearing roughly 25m in items. I have killed all 5 brothers and go down. I am getting some slayer XP from Spiders (Buthroped my 156 irons and got spiders) when all of a sudden realized that an update was about to run in 5 secs. (Didn't see the 3min count down for some reason) BOOM.. logs me out. I re-load RS and log in. I am at lumby. MY HEART DROPS..... Till I realize that I still had everything (about 1.5 seconds and prob. the longest 1.5 in RS) ROL saved me about 25m and 2 to 3 hours getting all those items again. So why wear ROW when it has noo effect, why wear ROD when you can just ecto or lumby tele or glory. All i can say is ROL FTW!!! (For the Win) ==== Also started to log my Barrows runs again. Will post when I hit another 100 === @ - Come Join SoDB in Some GWD and other Slaying! - @

DarkDude
I think the majority of people use RoL, in fact, I'm sure it even says it in the guide... You're assuming everyone uses the guide, just because a guide says to do something doesn't mean everyone does, I rarely use guides and I believe Monster/Mini game guides are stupid telling you what to bring, it's going to be different for everyone depending on their stats and many people like to use their own style/tactics at doing things. ravinasian
I wear my ring of wealth, mainly because I never get around to getting a Ring of Life. Though, I don't know if I would even remember to equip it. I rather just wear nothing or a Ring of Wealth, just out of laziness. I usually don't lag very hard, and usually I have enough time to ecto back before the lag really gets unmanageable. Thus, my uses for the Ring of Life would be few and far between. Plus, I'm one of those people like Leesters, who, despite knowing Ring of Wealth doesn't help, still wears it for "luck". deangut
I think the majority of people use RoL, in fact, I'm sure it even says it in the guide... I read guides to get an idea of what to expect for areas I never been to, but use my inventory as it fits my needs. Not some1 elses. Also I started going to barrows the day it came out. So there was no guides then and basically helped this forum back then start tracking what to wear... So I haven't read any GUIDES for barrows since I think of myself as a well seasoned Brother killer. Neway, this is just a bit of info and story I wanted to pass on to help others thinking (Maybe I should wear ROW. I haven't died there yet....) If I can save 1 person the horror of dieing there it worth the post... Thanks and GL.. ===side note== and to the people I helped with .. how to get better/rare drops.. please PM me with your new rare drops rates.. I am starting an Adavnaced Guide to barrows. When a system update happens, it says ur logged out, but ussually your character is logged back in. Only time something is reset, if jagex updates their system by rolling back to the last "save" point, at which is where everyone logs out. Many ppl try to dupe things, because of what you said, but their is not always a roll back when there is an update.

I'm sorry, but that made 0% sense to me... :? what kind of person dies at barrows to anything except dharok? only verac hits often but you can eat 2 shark for every hit he does (not to mention his max is only about 25) so if you do get below 10 hits you wouldnt need the tele. the npcs hit low and ur not gonna afk train down there so thats not a problem. dharok is the only one that hits often and hard, but if you do get hit below 10 hits he hits so slow you can click the stairs and escape or drink a prayer pot and turn melee pray on before he hits you again. DarkDude
RoW seemed to lower my chances of getting barrows items, I had like 7 rares from 700 trips with RoW and had like 4 in 100 trips with RoL :P
spuriousmonkey
I keep my ROW on because otherwise I will forget to put it back on again once I start doing something else than barrows (i'm getting older). ROL doesn't seem to have much use as has been stated before. Most barrows brothers can hit 20s or more. 10% of 87 is 8.7. Why bother?

d3nic
This is a dispute. I go barrows my self a LOT of times. And i feel that a Ring of Wealth does increase my chances of getting something better from the chest. But, when wearing a ring of life, for example, say you lag out on dharok and he smashes some high numbers on you, are you saved by your ring of life? This needs some thinking about lol. APERSON
I'll never bring anything other than ROL! It saved my hide in barrows. I had Karil in the tunnels and I like to kill them in the chest room if I have to use prayer. Anyways I was heading to the chest room and up pops Karil, he hits me maybe 15 or so, no big deal I run into the next room, up pops Karil, he hits me, I try to go through a door but it doesn't work, I'm getting hit so I run back to the door I originally came from, POW ANOTHER Karil along with the one that is already there pow pow and I'm wisked away with the lovely ROL teleport. I love you ROL. The end. Why should we buy postage stamps when we can make our own?aperson being
