If he was spitting out the right side, there'd still be a lane of traffic between the kid and the tree branch. Either way it's pretty much unfeasable. (note that the illustration is NOT on a one-lane road)

Sorry, I meant a one-lane-per-direction road. Just, it's feasible that the bus could have changed into the right hand lane while the kid was still leaning out the window. I don't know, I just don't think it's nice to discredit people out of hand.

Still was a two lane per direction road, but anyway, sure it's feasable (and that's what Merc showed), just not very likely is what people are saying.

Either way I still think it's ridiculous to troll a forum telling someone that they are lying. Although that picture did make my day.

To be honest Mad, everyone here gave the person plenty of time to show this was credible. Don't get me wrong, if this actually did happen, crikey, it's horrible and I would comiserate the family if I could whole heartedly.
