April 1, 200620 yr Just make sure you know that agil does NOT help in non-members. It actually does
April 2, 200620 yr Author Mining rune is still more profitable then killing blue dragons. The rocks in wildy are pretty much isolated, except for a pker and a miner here and there. If you try to mine in Hero's guild, I wish out good luck  who is allowed in the hero's guild? do you need a certain amount of quest points to get in? if so, i'll prob stick to mining in the wild. i just don't see how anyone who has played p2p at all can downgrade again. idk because i've never played p2p before. after playing for so long, however, i have found that i get the most enjoyment out of pking. i mine to finance my pking (training, food, etc), and look forward to getting agility to assist in both. i'm sure castle wars and dueling will be fun, but i get bored of rs if i play too often... i'll see how i feel after a month. ps - anyone know about how much agility xp per hour is possible? bchaney : 78 strength, 91 range, 85 mining.
April 2, 200620 yr stick to mining in the wild, dont go to free worlds.. thats usually the only place where pkers are and mining rune is much more efficient than blue drags anyways, i think fire giants are better for money than blue drags agility is pretty boring, not much diversity but pretty fast, and is worth it

April 4, 200620 yr just felt like jumping in on your topic as well. I've also been playing for quite a few years only on f2p and decided to try p2p for awhile. So far, a grand total of 3 days into my membership, I've found it's pretty easy if you want to level fletching. If you've got some of the stuff stored up already, such as feathers, logs, bars, etc. I've been buying/smelting bars, then smithing arrowheads and making arrows to sell. Also, agility isn't that tough to level up when you start. It's just a bit boring clicking around in circles. Within a few hours, I made it to about lvl 20 agility, now it's taking a bit longer to level it up. I think it helps a lot if you have magic trained up because the teleporting is so vital to travelling. I've found it very difficult to run across the map because I didn't have the runes to teleport to areas. The Amulet of Glory looks like it would definitely be handy as well, for getting to and from places. I think I might make a guide on this soon, for all the p2p "need to knows." Things such as: Important Quests Skills THE locations to be What's what and how to get it. ------- May be some time, as I'm pretty busy lately :( definitely, I think that would be really helpful. as a newbie to the p2p world, it's really troublesome having to ask relatively stupid questions to every passing person hoping someone will answer you.
April 4, 200620 yr This is a great topic. When i decide to become p2p i try to find this again. I will shoot down any one with my bitting wit, and sarcasm! What POSSIBLE reason would someone have to make a fake like that?Does he profit from faking a picture like that? Does it help him at all?Jesus Christ, stop being so suspicious. This is Tip.it for God's sake, not RuneHQ. -_-
April 4, 200620 yr before i joined members, i tried to max out whatever skills i could in f2p. i could fish swordies, smith full steel, make str ammies and cast up to fire blast. beyond that its a struggle to do anything in f2p because most of the high level abilities are members only. going to members to mine rune makes no sense. most members go to f2p wildy to mine their rune, because the hero's guild is usually always mined out. but if thats your plan, youll need to do hero's quest anyway, which requires additional quests and about 50 quest points (look it up for details). agility is one of the most useful skills you can get if you plan to go back to f2p after a month is up. train in the gnome course to level 25, then in the barbarians course to about level 44, then head straight for the agility arena in brimhaven (get familiar with the full world map). your goal in the arena is to get 1000 tickets to get a very fast 320k exp. youll only need to do this once, and it might take a week of your time, since you can only get 1 ticket per minute if you get all consequetively. the next thing you might want to do is fletching, just to get it up to the level where you can make arrows out of the metals you can smith, for range training (if your pure trains range, that is) blue dragons are really good money. but the truth is, in the taverly dungeon where they are, its nearly always crowded with high level mages and rangers that will make it nearly impossible for a newcomer to even get a chance at a dragon. the other place to find blue dragons require completing the watchtower quest i suppose you want to make the most of your time. i'd say that if youre going back to f2p after a month, farming, herblore, theiving and slayer are a waste of your time if your pure has high mage, i would advise you check out the mage training arena in al kharid. very useful for getting a lot of experience, once you have the runes. also make a few rings of dueling and check out the castle wars and duel arena minigames. youll enjoy the fun breaks between your busy schedule for melee training, the next step up from rune scimmies is the dragon long sword and dds, which require the lost city quest, or if your attack is 70+, the whip, which requires lots of cash. but either will allow you lots of melee experience faster than f2p weapons one more thing, if youve been saving up your big bones or thinking about using your dragon bones for prayer exp, youll want to check out the ectofunctus in port phatasmys. it requires priest in peril quest and recomended strongly you also do ghost ahoy. using the ectofunctus you get 4 times the prayer exp than just burying a bone. sounds exciting? well its not, its a tedious process, but if you need the prayer exp its worth it be sure to check out my guide to going f2p from members with a full bank. in members you have like 5 times the amount of bank space than f2p, but this can backfire on you if you have to cancel your membership. with the guide i wrote it shows how to make 1 month of membership the most profitable thing you can do in your rs career. however, it can also be a nightmare if you make a mistake and withdraw all of something that youre not supposed to, so be discalimed. anyway, check out the link in my sig choose your plans wisely, its very easy to be overwhelmed with all the things membership offers, so planning is important. dont expect to do a little of everything, just the things that will make the most of your time and your goals. good luck and holla at me if you need anything Are you a member with a full bank and cancelling your subscription? April 4, 200620 yr Read my guide about it. It's on P2P-General. Name: "Become a Member-Guide" Can help you! "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]
April 4, 200620 yr thanks for the help guys, a couple of my questions weren't answered yet, however. let me clarify them; about how much money can i make per hour ranging blue dragons and collecting their hides? how much is each hide worth? what about other monsters that drop items (and can be ranged from a safe distance)? as far as quests, which ones can i do considering my lack of skill diversity [combat (1 def), ranged, and mining]? do i need to do a quest to play in castle wars? thanks again. it depends on the arrows you use...addy would get you fast xp and hides at your lvl and bronze would still get fast yet much slower. you can make 250k an hour selling the hides for 2.5k each+ as you could easily kill 100+ in an hour with good ranged. even better get 3k+ iron knives and go crazy. bury the bones or keep them for another 200k+ an hour. yet it would slow you down. i would do almost all quest that give you no def xp as they will help you tons. waterfall quest and starting the desert treaser quest will help too. (fire gaints rock! )
April 4, 200620 yr oh... ill add one more thing (im trying to give you the most essential info, and even that is a heck of a lot) in members, the most profitable skill, without question, is runecrafting. at level 44 you can make natures, the most expensive craftable rune (except laws from time to time, depending on buyer) to get your rc up to level 44 before you go members, take advantage of the barb village update and run body runes from edgeville (the update has made the body alter the closest altar to a bank in the game, and body runes give the most crafting exp in f2p). also, collect all the talismans you can find, buy, ask for, etc and enchant tiaras for extra runecraft exp that will get you to your goal faster. when you get to members, there are 2 main ways for you to craft nats: the brimhaven general store, or the abyss (there are guides on this). since youre just coming from f2p, id recommend the brimhaven gen store method, since abyss crafting is pointless without glories, and glories are inconvenient without hero's quest :D. using the gen store method, you should be able to make about 500-600 nats per hour (1 tip, go thru the abyss and kill abyssal leeches to get pouches, youll make more nats per trip). even at this rate, though its slow the risks are minimal and you could cash out for about 150k an hour, or stock up for high alch money and mage exp Are you a member with a full bank and cancelling your subscription?
