Prom!

Don't proms just single out the people who can't get dates?

And before anyone bothers to post suggesting I only mention that because I can't, there has only been one 'prom' in my life and I went with my long term girlfriend.

Dates stink...

I ditched my "gentleman" *cough* within 5 minutes cuz he started smoking -.-

Ay to the person that said going with dates that are just friends :P

My date was just my best friend (she wouldn't have been able to come otherwise since she had stopped going to school, just a temporary thing however, don't worry :P)

As for the prom king and queen here at my school... they ditched that years and years ago :P

The teachers excuse is "Well we don't want Carrie to become a documentary, do we?"

I never even asked my date to go with me Prom or Homecoming. She is one of my bestest buds.

And yeah, we did that group thing. It was nice. We even saved dinner money at Homecoming when one of my friend's parents opened up thier huge house and served us restaurant style.

Oh, and Prom King and Queen was awesome this year. I honestly wish I could show you the picture. Our King was a flute player in the band with a unibrow...yet he beat out the star football players. Our Queen was the head cheerleader who was really good friends with Flute Boy and equally intelligent. They had fun dancing, but the look of shock from the preppy kids watching them was priceless.

My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley

I didn't go to mine (I'm class of 2004, for those wondering). Just wasn't my type of thing. Also, my school's administration that year, in their infinite wisdom, decided to ban limos. Iconoclastic idiots.

Besides it's so boring. Bad music, too many people and some stupid tiara for the king and queen. I rather die than ever put

one of those on my head. Let alone the silly dress I had to wear.

Sell it to some runecrafter instead?
