Dax
I had no idea what you were talking about, then I googled it and watched the entirety of the first videos that appeared about him. I might have to go back and start from the start. This is fun. Someone randomly mentioned this band in a video I was watching and it's fantastic. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod

Dax
Yeah I watched all of Swampletics in like a day and now I'm craving the next ep. The first AOTY contender of 2019 has arrived, and it is Malibu Ken. 2 #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod

Hedgehog
Yeah I've always had that problem with Dream Theater where they're clearly very talented, but they never really make me feel anything
muggiwhplar
Yeah I've always had that problem with Dream Theater where they're clearly very talented, but they never really make me feel anythingThat’s pretty much how I’ve felt about them since like 2012. Some of their newer songs can be catchy but it’s all very forgettable. I still love their music from the late 90s and 2000s though. Octavarium, Six Degrees, and Metropolis are timeless to me— I’ll never get tired of those Maybe they just lost their magic to me once they got rid of their drummer since he was calling all the shots till he left
Dax
I too will add the same opinion and agree. Metropolis Pt II is still probably one of my all-time favourite albums, but since Black Clouds and Silver Linings, the only reaction to a new DT album is seemingly 'Oh neat, I'll give that a spin when I get a chance.' 1 #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
Kalphite
Yeah going to jump on that bandwagon here, used to love Dream theater in middle school/ high school but nowadays I don't really feel the desire to listen to them. Kinda feel like I grew out of them in general, +1 to Hedgehog's comment about not really feeling much from their music anymore and James LaBrie's voice has aged like 2 buck chuck to me as I've gotten older lol. Even the older stuff I used to love doesn't really do that much for me anymore but maybe I'm just due to give Metropolis pt 2 another spin. randomly have really been getting into Tokimonsta's older stuff recently

RpgGamer
As tribute to Keith Flint, I've been listening to The Prodigy discography again. Dax
In love with Farewell Transmission. I know like two of his other songs. As tribute to Keith Flint, I listened to my personal favourite through again, Music for the Jilted Generation. 1 #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
Hedgehog
I feel bad cuz I never listened to The Prodigy. I'll have to check them out tomorrow. I really feel guilty about Talk Talk since I never really got into them until the singer passed away last week. I had heard of them of course but maybe listened to them a couple times. Now I'm listening to laughing stock probably every other day. Same deal about Songs: Ohia, but to be fair I really didn't listen to much sad indie music back then
Dax
Prodigy is great. When I first got into music, it was among the first wave of stuff I got from my mates. I love my Music for the Jilted Generation, but any of their first four albums are excellent starting points, I think. Fat of the Land's probably the safest because Breathe, Smack my [bleep] Up and Firestarter, though. I don't tend to feel bad or guilty, I can't really help it. I think it's a good thing in a way. Chances are I can't support the actual artist any more, unless it's someone in a band and the band cruises on, but realistically I don't do much to support musicians as it is. I'm still a filthy pirate and I can count the amount of gigs I've been to on one hand, while I can count the amount of merch and CDs, etc. I've bought without going over 100. I'm pretty terrible, but it's a good starting point to finally make the plunge on an artist. I'd downloaded all of Bowie, but when he died I really delved in, and now it's at the point where I'll recommend him and it's not just because he just died, it's because I know a bit more, and if someone buys some Bowie stuff because of me, that's how we do. Bowie's a terrible example because it's god damn David Bowie, but he was the first one that came to my head. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
