Porcupine Tree is such an album band it's pretty hard to pick out the best five. Realistically I just want to say 'Bugger it, top five is all 10 tracks of Lightbulb Sun, go listen to it.' I first got into them just after The Money Store, and I've kept up with them since, but nothing's hit me like those first two. I think their later releases (especially The Powers That B) suffer from the same problem a lot of experimental bands face, where they just keep trying to experiment harder instead of applying lessons from their previous experiments

August 8, 20196 yr Once upon a time the LOTPW crew found another forum with a forum games section that had its own LOTPW thread. But, it was entirely populated by ~6 chat bots, who had the sorts of neural net posts you might expect, but with "real" conversations, not half-baked advertisements over and over. 10s of thousands of pages of it, stretching back years. It was kind of incredible, in an unnerving way. I guess what I'm saying is that if this forum is doomed to be populated by bots, the humans having all fled, well. I hope they're the cool kind of bots. --- A vocaloid artist I really like just announced a new EP, and I'm pretty excited for it. Here's hoping they have some sort of non-Japan-only distribution, and it doesn't end up being ~$20 and only a physical release. My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off
