April 28, 200620 yr I had heard from all the people i know that barrows is great easy exp for mage and it pays for itself ( If you lucky ) so i decided to try it out. My stats. 63 magic ( I,m gonna be useing ice rush ) 44 range ( I,m thinking about meleeing or not killing ahrim ) 60-65 on my atk str def and hp. My equipment. Initiate helm. Monk robe top and bottom. Rune kite. Anceint staff. Various other magic/prayer raising equipment. My first run... ( Sniff ) I head over to the barrows via myreque shortcut and start busting some crypts i beat dharok torag verec and guthen pretty easy then i got to karil froze him and whiped out a few d scimy attacks on him he dies after i few more freezes and hits. I head over to ahrim.... oh no! i have him in the tunnal ( and i have uber crappy range ) So i procede through the tunnal and get to the chest and then BAM! i,m attacked by ahrim he hits a 20 before i can get my prayer on. I reached for a prayer pot in my invent but oh know i have none left and i forgot tele runes. So i die horribly after trying to melee him. I lose about 200k worth of stuff. I get another round of freezes ready to try again and thats what i,m currantly doing so i when finish this run i,ll edit into this post what happened. Barrow Drops: Guthan's Helm, Karil's Crossbow.5 Pieces of the Crystal Key so far. I would never consider meeting people irl. Not just because of risks that they could be a 40 year old man who is only interested in the bottom half of your body.

April 28, 200620 yr Any donations of prayer pots deaths chaos or water runes is accepted. why should we fork out things for your messup? Could have ran from the fight, nothing said you had to stay there and die. Sorry to be so blunt, but I spend alot of time there and see lots of people foolishly risk dieing when they can just come back and pick up from where they left off. Next time remeber; Tele runes, ectophial, or ring of life.

April 28, 200620 yr BTW, the last bro always appears when you try to open the chest, so before you open it get prepared. If they appear elsewhere you can just get on the other side of the door to prepare. In the crypts you can run around the sarcophagus. Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. April 28, 200620 yr Soz to hear it... but remember it's a game.. Just gather up the items again and learn off your mistake(s) I went to barrows first day it was out and prob saw about 10 -15 peeps die each day.. Now with all the guides and people holdin your hands through this.. well just learn from a mistake read up on it and train your stats a lil and give it a go once you get 40 runs under your belt and an item you'' laugh this off @ - Come Join SoDB in Some GWD and other Slaying! - @
April 28, 200620 yr I went to barrows the day it came out at about your level. I was lucky I didn't get owned by Dharok, I was using prayer even though people at the time said not to (because it drains fast :lol:). Didn't get anything in like 10 trips though. A couple months later I went back after getting 55 slayer. After over 400 times opening the chest, I have a lot more money than I used to. At least 15 of my last 20 mage levels I got at the barrows too. I have never died there, although my ring of life saved me from certain death a couple times early on. So don't give up on it! Take it one trip at a time at first, once you get the hang of it you won't have any trouble.

In the crypts you can run around the sarcophagus. thats not true, he appears randomly, so you could open a door and he could be there Yes it is possible for him to appear anywhere in the tunnels thats why kwimbob added the part of stepping to the other side of the door. But if he doesn't appear by the time you reach the chest room he will pop up when you open the chest.
April 29, 200620 yr I'm only level like, 75 and I do my barrows fine, I just haven't gotten' anything yet. Air blast ( I think ) works best for me. I just use a ton of prayer pots though :-(
