most pkers that use sharks can fish and cook their own anyways

 

 

 

only way that they would replace sharks is if the monk fish raised hp and praye :lol:

it will still be used alot as training food , since you can fish it so fsay and heals 16 (H)

It will replace lobbies if the supply is high enough.

 

Afterall, you can only fish it out in the middle of nowhere and the reqs keep many nonquestors away.

 

Sharks won't be replaced seeing how even tuna & sweetcorn couldn't replace them and they heal 2 more.

tuna and swwtcorn are a pain to make.

Probably will be replaced for lobbies/swords by people who use them for training etc.

All I know is; there gonna be my new barrows food, used to catch sharks but no more, get these adn rade raw for cooked so I don't lose a single one; there perfect :D

well are they tradable...i'd assume they're not because its quest oriented. If they are, I think that needs re-toolin.

You can trade them after u finish the quest.

 

 

 

You can fish Fresh monkfish while u do the quest. Monkfish when u done it.

Another thing that is pretty cool is the general store pays over 100 gp each (of course it lowers the more you sell) for BURNT monkfish! I thought it was pretty funny myself that they pay more for burnt than either raw or cooked. I wonder if they have changed that yet...

They're perfect for barrows, lobs are to weak, sharks are overkill.

It's in the cooking guide I think it's 94 or 95 with gaunts and you can always burn without.

Tipit's cooking guide. And I think 95 with gauntlets is for sharks.. Since monkfish have a cooking req 18 lower, I doubt its that high, I may be wrong though.

its not in tip its i can tell you that before i looked, its the day after a relases, it hasnt made it into any guides on tip it yet. And 95 is for sharks with gaunts i already knew that. there is no way its the same req. for these, my guess would be somewhere in the 80's... maybe 87?

I'd be surprised if it was that high. Dunno, I just love the fishing exp. Sharks only give 110, these are 120 and they're way faster.

im guessing because they are better than swords and lower than sharks, swords are 75ish and sharks are 95...got to be in the middle somewhere.

[off-topic] Monkfish IRL is actually a very tastey fish. However it is a very ugly fish. Monkfish aka Anglerfish. Look it up. Try it out if you want. I think it is great [/off-topic]

 

 

 

ohh i was wondering why i'd never heard of a monk fish before, oh so it's an anglerfish.... and it will replace lobbies, but sharks are used to tackle the BIG monsters

Interesting. Would i be able to fish them fast at level 76 fishing? Because lobsters seem slower than swordfish at this level for some reason O_o

Currently, at 72 Cooking with [grime]ing Gauntlets, I seem to burn about 15 % of them.

I thought 89 cooking was the cutoff because I cooked 700 with gaunts and 88 cooking - 10 burned - then cooked 400 at 89 cooking before I burned another. I have burned 3 out of 600 at 89 so I would guess it's 90 or 91 to never burn, if cooking gauntlets have any effect whatsoever (which I personally think they do from experience but am beginning to doubt from looking at the respective numbers involved).

94 Tip.it's cooking guide is wrong. You stop burning sharks at 94 with gauntlets and you stop burning swordfish at 81 cooking with gauntlets.

Not anymore! Just sold 1 and got 2 gp (shop had none).
