im posting this in the general forum because its not a discussion thread for specific random events, mostly just for randoms in general. if this is in violation of the rules, then could a mod please move this to the clues and randoms board? thanks

 

 

 

well, we all know from the behind the scenes update that there will be a new random event coming out soon. ive heard many different opinions about the situation regarding randoms from various different people ranging from "theyre great!" to "they should be removed".

 

 

 

so post your opinions on randoms here. do you like all the random events in the game? is there one in particular you like? one that you hate? why?

 

 

 

i personally like the random events i get. i find them to be a mostly pleasant break in my daily runescape life. i would personally like to see the removal of the MOM box, though, as i get way too many of those. my favorite one that ive recieved, though would have to be the maze. its a nice break from traveling around, it gives decent rewards if your fast enough, and its a challenge to do well.

some of them are fine, like the geine the dwarf i jus cant stand the ones that tele you to some maze or a gravyard and make you complete some pointless task to get some stupid pair of pants or 30 arrows. wait of mine time.

hypocrit, im pretty sure the maze is a mom box when you have a full invent :P but i love randoms, because i never do anything important.

mime is soo cool, but it's still soooo rare

 

comparing with frog random event. i've got already more then 3 sets of frog princess outfit :(

i've had mazes with empty and full invents. U can't get the box with a full invent tho

I must say i dislike swarms, MOM box, MOM gift and dwarf, i get them far to often, only had one mime ever in 1 and a half years, not one maze, not one freaky forester, not one grave digger(after 2k normal bones and 300 big bones, all from kills)

They're a pointless edition to runescape, Jagex might aswell come out and say it, they can't tackle the autoing problem.

They've totally failed in what they set out to do. They may as well be gone.

I had way more than that. I have a picture somewhere, but don't remember how to set it up and stuff.

Correct, we didn't have to put with random events in rsc OR ignorant kids toddling around insulting eachother for no reason. Actually conisdering it rsc was a much better game.

I think randoms are a good way to make the game more interesting, sure they are annoying sometimes, but I would still keep them.

Im fine with random events. I know the dont do what they were created to do, but theyre a fun addition. After spending a long time fishing, it's nice to treat yourself to a kebab and a pint of the good 'ol stuff.

Completely off topic, not to mention totally unnecessary. Everything dealt with in runescape now, was dealt with back then, though on a much smaller scale. There have always been immature players, macroers, and just general rule breakers.

they discourage some would be autoers but not all and IMO i like the gift givers but not the inconviniences XD

I like all the random events other than prison pete and evil bob island. :?

I like all the randoms overall, although if you collect all the outfits and things, bank space is a pretty big issue...

well.............I HATE RANDOMS but we deff need them because otherwise ther would prolly be liek a 50% increase in the amount of aouters but it would be nice for us non autoers if we could do somthing liek talk on forms while our character fishes lobbies or somthing. SO pretty much autores ruined the game for all of us

I tried to get mazes by training with full invent. But ironically enough, almost always when i dropped something to make space for something else, a MOM appeared and gave me a box! 8)
