Yanni Salika= Runescape's Antique collector is a fraud!

Featured Replies

To all of you who doesn't know about Yanni Salika then he is a antique collector/buyer in Shilo village.

Recently i had completed a pain-quest Mourner's End-Part 2.After i completed it , i was left with all these pointless and ugly items that have no use. That happens a lot with quests. I was about to do the "drop that junk" method when i suddenly realized that there was a Npc who was supposed to buy your quest items! I took a ride to Shilo village and rushed to Yanni to show him all of my Super interesting and antique items, hoping i get some $$$ for them.

I asked him to check my inventory..... and he said there's nothing he would want to buy!

So once again i dropped my ugly quest items and was wondering that maybe there should be a Npc who REALLY buys your items from quests. Not all of the items ofcourse ....only the items you can get once, or hold 1 at a time.

Thats what you get when you try to pass off junk as antiques. At least the NPC seems smarter in this case.

Right after I completed One Small Favor quest I checked out our Antiques friend and tried various Holy Grail bells and Napkins and Beads of the Dead and a Bone Key and things that are no longer useful to me but he didn't take a darn thing.

I was hoping that the Antiques guy would be a Wise Old Man for members but it makes sense that he can't be. The RS Quest Team could make a quest that involves a quest item from a previous quest. They would have to make it so you could acquire it again. This wouldn't work all too well if you could just keep on getting the item (as most quest items are retrievable).

To solve that you could possibly make it so that you can buy things back from the Antiques seller. If you didn't sell it to him you can easily get it back from the original item giver. If you did sell it to him and you try to get it back from the item giver they'll say that they don't have anymore, or they gave you their only one. (Simple True or False statement)

I'd love it if we see the Antiques seller gaining the ability to look into our bank and then see items that he is interested (With my suggestion it could be every single quest item that isn't being used in an active quest. Maybe another true false statement for a need. Each quest item given a true if there is a quest that would need the item or a currently active quest that needs the item. A false would be for if you've completed THE quest to use it and there is no outstanding (uncompleted) quest that requires the item.)

The shilo guy only buys 1 item from a quest besides of course the mahogany that he asks you to get...and I can't remember the name of the quest, but it's the quest with the Zogres and stuff.
