May 6, 200620 yr Quite simply RSC was overrun by autoers. The legit players were actually in the minority. Making it P2P only deterred the autoers somewhat, but to be honest RSC is on it's last legs to be honest. May 6, 200620 yr I'm a member and when I tried to log into RSC it said I couldn't. Something about if you hadn't logged in in the past 6 months or something then you couldn't. Too bad because I liked to go onto RSC now and again. :(

Or trying to keep the servers open :\ there wasn't enough member accounts using rsc to make keeping the f2p servers open viable. Jagex kept going from the money generated by rs2 and the adverts but the macroing problem got so out of control they had no choice to close rsc as the game engine rsc is based on isn't able to have a sophisticated macro detection system and it wasn't worth wasting the resources to have mods hunt for macroers. If they limit the members that can log into rsc to 6 months then they can cut out the people that are notr really interested in rsc and therefore they will have to run fewer servers for those that wish to continue playing rsc over the main game, cutting costs to make keeping runescape classic open an option.
