I did lobs/sharks like from 84-95, now I am doing monks just because I am getting a bit tired of fishing (*gasp*) and would like to get it completed.

They are not slow. I just play at my own pace. Some days I will only get 5k exp, some I will get 50k. It depends what I feel like. No fun when you force yourself to do something you don't want to. (People who fish there tell me they get up to 240k exp a day, so I do not think that's too slow.)
