apinagez
The best albums are, in my opinion, those that only make sence as an entire thing, with songs continuing from where the previous dropped off. What do you think are the best musically merged song sequences ever? For me, one of the best (I wouldn't really consider it the best, since I haven't heard every album ever created :P) would be the sequence on The Wall that starts with The Thin Ice, goes through Another Brick in the Wall pt. 1 and The Happiest Days of our Lives and ends with Another Brick in The Wall pt.2. Lageris89
That type of music doesn't really appeal to me. Also, expect a lot of Dream Theater to be mentioned in this thread
megadedhed
\Also, expect a lot of Dream Theater to be mentioned in this thread lol exactly, dreasmtheater does this cool thing with there cds where each song runs into the other, and the last song on one cd ends with the same note as the first song on the next one its cool. Necromagus
A very well sequenced album is Ayreon's Into the Electric Castle album. It's amazing how trippy, upbeat and emotional songs flow into eachother without breaking pace. Danabis
If you mean concept albums in general, then I'd say Scenes from a Memory by Dream Theater, and Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. How2PK
Concept albums: Darkside of the Moon, Wish you were here, Freak Out, We're only in it for the Money and Sgt. Peppers. Especialy Freak Out and We're only in it for the money. Obviously you know Sgt Peppers and the Floyd albums. But you probably don't know the Mothers of Invetion albums I mentioned. Freak Out inspired the Beatles to do Sgt. Peppers and We're only in it for the money is a parody on Sgt. Peppers and hippie culture in the 60's. apinagez
Danabis, I don't mean just entire concept albums, but pieces of those (or maybe pieces of non-concept albums) that have neat connecting elements between it's songs :) Daan, I'll try to get to listen Zappa's ones :) ^The most disturbing signature on Tip.it^Last.fm|HELLY KAYLA!|Oh the mehagurtz!|#Siencemakers"they care less about their spelling mistakes then I." - Lionheart"apinagez... let me
