Edit: just cheacked, its the same one. Its soo freakin complicated, i can do the usal stuff, but when i get to trying to reopen a file and look at code, it has a bunch of code added that i didnt do. Also i cant find the interface i make. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!
runesmithie
Just get used to it :P Oh, and about that code you didnt add, that's probably code from your interface ;) There are options to hide it though I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam. pedm
It somewhat depends on whether or not you get how programs work with their if-then, etc phrases and can figure out how to get stuff done using them. If you aren't all that great then I would recomend some C (nothing advanced, just understanding loops.) Then maybe PHP/MySQL or javascript would be good (there is a much greater demand for web design than other programing.) I'm learning PHP/MySQL right now and am enjoying it a lot - unfortunatley the course isn't free :( - and tought myself basic CSS recently. I have vb6 at home, and I dislike it mainly because I learned VB using 7.1, and theres a huge gap between 6 and 7.1, it's like trying to write a book but only being able to use 1/3 the dictionary. ... Look buddy, your post was incomprehensible, of negligible value, and you double-posted rather than editing. We call that spamming the thread - it's when you make a pointless reply for the sake of raising your post count or giving yourself something to do. It upsets those of us who put at least an ounce of effort into our replies regardless of what's going on at school. I had to sit for a four-hour test and a final today, and you don't hear me whining about it and spamming up a Runescape forum. As such, I deem both your replies unnecessary, unjustified, and deserving of ridicule. Have a nice day. On topic, I suggested QBasic becauseQBasic introduces many basic programming concepts and people often learn it first (or used to). It's also nice to know a bit of C++ since practically nobody I know outside of the internet knows PHP. They all think it's a drug. If you know a language that many many people know then you have that much of a userbase that can help you out of a tight spot. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. zonda
Qbasic was the first language I learned... it's a good learner and dare I say it, I had a lot of fun learning it... partially because I had a crazy teacher with Shell shock.... but it was fun and it was usefull because it introduces alot of the "logic" aspect to programming... like loops and counters and subs, ect. Oh, its very easy to pick up as well... especially compared to some languages. ...
Lionheart_0
Its good an all to learn these, but how can a normal people like myself learn/ get the program to use diffrent languages (such as C++, or this QBasic?) If you know a language that many many people know then you have that much of a userbase that can help you out of a tight spot.It really depends what you wish to do wont you say? I mean, for programming websites and web applications, php and perl (even though i personally never use perl) are quite good, but if you wish to make something more like programs and stuff to be used on the clients computer, instead of on the internet, C++, C, vb etc are good.. From what i understood in the first post, with the mentioning of HTML, CSS and JS, this is primarily for the internet, and in that case, php is more likely to be used? I might be wrong though, just just how i see it :D
