Which do you prefer to watch? college or pro sports?

its college for me. those people play for fun and passion, not money.

I prefer professional. Just more exciting to me because it's generally more skilled. Sure, college athletes play for fun and passion instead of money...but so what? I don't see what that has to do with anything. The people that are playing for money are able to play for money for a reason: they are good at it (well, most of them anyway :P) It's not like since they play for money, they no longer have to be enthusiastic about the sport or work hard or anything. So I've never seen how that's relevant. Besides, many college athletes play solely to get into the professional leagues, so in a way, they actually are indirectly playing for money.

I keep up with both and enjoy watching both, but professional games are more enjoyable.

We don't get college sports on the tv here. Can you just clarify what they are? Just non-pro, or do they have to be going to a college?

I've heard about it in basketball but never understood why poeple wanted to watch students instead of the best people in the country play.

college sports is composed of teams that play for the college (or university, etc.) that a person goes to. say i go to college m. then i could play on college m's team if i was good enough and id get on the team through tryouts. you can only play for the college that you go to. they are non profit teams. once your out of college you can no longer play for the team. colleges can only compete with other collages, not pro teams.

the reason people watch college: the players are not payed, so that must mean they love the sport dearly, which they do. they end up putting on an enjoyable show because of their ambition. for them its love, not money.

Like the others have said, I enjoy pro sports (at least pro basketball) because it's more exciting to watch and the players are more skillful (at least in most cases). I suppose those of us around the college age might like college sports more because of a 'kinship' we feel between us and the athletes? Lol, I don't really know :)

It can go either way, depending on the sport. However, I note that college football (or 'American Football' :\) Is infinitely better than NFL football. They have so much more heart and hussle out there. They aren't as big, so they are quicker, and they get rocked harder. They are also working their best to get into the NFL. For some of them, it's either the NFL, or it's working in a factory or fast food joint. They put so much more heart in there, and they don't give there people any grief. You don't have to deal with people like Terrell Owens, because if people are giving there team, officials grief, they toss em, and one of the thousands of other people qualified. It's just so much more fun to watch, they are always giving it there all.

The only college games I'll watch are UC Davis games because I go there and I can see the game live. I watch the NBA and the NHL, but that's all, really..

Professional athletes are paid way too much.

Teaching and inspiring.

College Football is by far my favorite sport to watch, by far, but overall if you put all the sports together i probably watch more professional. I sorta in the middle i guess.

i PREFER to watch a college match any day of the week over a professional match because College players do it for the love of the game and the right and honour of the university, professional atheltes are just overpaid egotistical sons of idiots who are only in it for the money and they dont care if their team wins or loses. College > Pro's by far, but if your only going for the money, its Pros.

I prefer pros, because they are more skilled and don't seem to make as many mistakes. But I prefer college when it comes to rivalries.

I also laugh when all you people say that college athletes play for the love and aren't as egotistical and greedy as pros. Where do you think all these egotistical and greedy pros came from, certainly not college. There are tons of amatuer atheletes who are just as greedy and prideful as the pros.

Also on another note, just because the college players aren't being payed in cash, it doesn't mena that they are recieving many incentives, so in a way they are being payed.

Your true character is what you are like when you believe there are no repercussions.

College for the same reason, and not as many stadiums have corporate names (the bowls are a different story though).

I usually watch college football because theres I see a lot more great plays.

I usually watch pro basketball because college basketball doesn't mean much to me because I can't root for a team. However college basketball players play better basketball than pros. However pro games are more flashier.

interesting point mentioning that pros come from college. but like mr putter said, if they dont make pro they go work at a fast food place half of the time. sadly thats 100% true. so i think that when they are in college, they not only play for love, but play so that mabye they wont be making min. wage, which gives a dobule motivation wammy. i guess that explains the college to pro transfer.

That's a tough choice for me. I like college 'cause I want to see the good players who may very soon play for the NBA. But I like the NBA 'cause you got some real pros on your hands. These guys can do mad tricks, but i'm not dissing college in anyway.

Neither. I've never really had the patience to watch a full game of any sport - except when Efren 'Bata' Reyes is kicking butt in a billiard game, or an Olympic women beach volleyball game.
